I had a generally pleasant stay at Joyce Apartelle San Juan and was quite satisfied with the room I was given. The room was spacious, airy, and comfortable, with plenty of cabinets and storage space for clothes and personal belongings. There were also enough hangers, which was a nice convenience for a longer stay.
The accommodation was well-equipped with several useful amenities. There were plates, small plates, knives, spoons, and forks, as well as an electric kettle for heating water, which was convenient for making coffee and other hot drinks. Having a refrigerator was also very useful for storing food and beverages.
I particularly appreciated the spacious living area and dining table, which made the place feel more like a home rather than just a room. Overall, I felt comfortable and relaxed during my stay.
The property also provides Wi-Fi, which is definitely a plus. However, the connection was sometimes unstable, with the signal occasionally disappearing. The internet speed was also not particularly fast, so this could be improved, especially for guests who need a more reliable connection for work or other online activities.
There were also a few issues worth mentioning. During my stay, I encountered three medium-sized cockroaches inside the room. I was able to take care of them myself, but having insect spray available and/or improving pest control would make the accommodation more comfortable for guests.
Another consideration is the location right beside the road. Traffic noise can be noticeable, particularly from around 4:00 AM onwards, when passing jeepneys can be quite loud. Since the property is also relatively close to San Juan Medical Center, ambulance sirens can occasionally be heard as well. This may be a consideration for light sleepers.
Despite these issues, my overall experience was still good. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with many practical amenities. With some improvements to pest control, Wi-Fi reliability, and noise management, I believe the overall guest experience could be even better.
