The location is fantastic, close to shopping and with spacious rooms that have reliable wifi. Those are the two great things about this hotel. However as a traveller that more or less stayed in countless hotels, the 2 main thing that will be memorable with this hotel for me will be:
1. Low water pressure and inconsistent hot water. Water pressure is low at day, and only slightly better at night, so showering is a bit of a challenge.
2. Staff is not attentive, to say the least. I left behind a fine gold chain with a small crucifix pendant (with a small diamond in the center) from Tiffany on the bedside table. We woke up late and was in a rush for the airport and forgot the necklace in our hurry. (Take note, I left it, not lost it.) However, when I messaged the hotel after our flight to LA, they came back to me reporting that the staff did not find the necklace. No judgement here, just a statement of facts.
So it is what it is. As travellers, we should be responsible for our valuables and this is a lesson I duly acknowledge.
Enjoy the location, as it is really central to all things happening in Oaxaca. The water pressure is a small inconvenience, but not if you are used to bathroom luxuries and would taint your enjoyment of the whole experience.
