Henriks Hotel

Check-in was efficient and friendly. We had two separate bookings they were able to make it into one so that we wouldn’t have to check out and back in during the middle of our stay. We upgraded the room to a luxury room and it is beautiful with Lots of space an extremely comfortable bed and a stunning washroom with rain shower. Only hiccup, we put the notice to clean our room one night out at 7am and left until mid day it was not cleaned then left again and came back at 6pm and the room was not cleaned. Front of house said cleaners did not have notice to clean the room and they have gone for the day. So that day we had to clean it ourselves and replace all the towels and toiletries. Breakfast was good with many options for food. Location was close to major attractions and shopping but outside enough that it’s a little quieter.

TL;DR - service sucks, greatest memory of this place is not even the immaculately beautiful rooms - just terrible service terrible cleaning. Imagine stepping into a beautiful hotel room, facade and lobby where staff do not greet you, do not help you with luggage even when youre struggling (wow lobby with stairs and no ramp is genius), towels are sometimes changed or not at all even when requesting for room to be cleaned. Sometimes they top up your tea and nespressos sometimes they dont. Its like the cleaning staff have moods. And dont get me started on the reception staff being grumpy and complaining that hes the only one on shift when i asked for towels cos cleaning service MISSED IT and that i have to be emphatic, take the towels myself from reception. And when i went to reception, he forgot my towels request plus was met with his sour attitude. Finally, if you get the rooms that face the main road - good luck. The clubbing venue opposite has incredibly loud music, drunkards, unrest happening right at the roadside facing the hotel. Amazing. Sound proofing is alright but good luck if youre light sleeper. Surprised no reviews mentioned the clubbing venue opposite. All in all i booked when this hotel was a 9.0, but it deserves a 6.5-7. Locations sucks too, better options closer to the metro exist or in a better area where there are more late night eats / bars. 6.5 - 7 score cos the room design is 100/10 and its hard carrying the 0/10 score for everything else. I would not pay more than $***per night for this 2 star establishment, pretty on the outside rotten on the inside. Also the service staff is indicative of copenhagen across the board, service by and large sucks.
