Fantastic location, just steps from dongdaemun exit 6 which has elevator. The station has line 1 and 4 so it was convenient to travel around. Room is a good size for 2 pax but might be too squeezy for 4 pax. The beds are rather comfy and everything was clean. There was a shared kitchen with a water dispenser and fridge. The only downsides was 2 short flight of stairs to get to the accom, which may not be so ideal if you have a lot of heavy luggage. There is also a very high step in the toilet which could be a little hazardous if not careful.

Amazing location right out of the subway stairs surrounded by convenience stores and restaurants. Kyochan is literally just 2 floors downstairs! Note that the elevator stops in the middle of the staircase so you have to carry your luggage about 8 steps up and 8 steps down. The bathrooms also are elevated so they are 2 steps up from the room. Everything is super clean and brand new looking. The washer and dryer are fast and a much needed amenity! We arrived about 40 minutes early for check in but the housekeeping staff were able to help us check in through the kiosk early so we could get into our room since the luggage storage was full. Lovely people! Would definitely stay again!

Extay Dongdaemun is located right outside exit 6 of the Dongdaemun station with access to both line 1 and 4 which makes getting around super convenient. It is also close to fruits and vegetable shops, pastry shops, convenient store, a KB bank branch for withdrawing cash from ATM, and many eateries withing walking distance. Our room was quite small but was clean and functional. It's not somewhere you'd necessary want to lounge around but it definitely is practical and comfortable for resting at night. The common area with a kitchen, a dining area, and washer dryer is super handy. We had many breakfast there where we enjoyed steam buns / pastries with Korean melon / strawberries there. Plus the price is really reasonable. To top it off, you have a 24 hour fried chicken restaurant downstairs. You can decide whether that's good for you or not. The chicken there was delicious 😋. I am glad I didn't have to contact Extay for any issues, since it's not very clear to me how I would do that without either a local phone number, or making long distance calls. A minor negative.
