Great hostel! It was the cheapest in town when i booked it, friendly and helpful staff, i took a private room which was modest but it was all i needed. Free sauna in the morning was fun. I liked the location, very quiet but still close to the center by foot or PT.

I stayed at Eurohostel during my time in Helsinki and overall had a decent experience. It’s a good budget-friendly option, particularly if you’re looking for a convenient location without paying hotel prices. The location is quite nice, the neighbourhood is peaceful and relatively quiet, while still being close enough to the city centre. There is good tram connectivity, making it easy to get around Helsinki. My room was reasonably clean and had two beds, which was perfectly adequate for a budget hostel stay. A large cupboard with a key was provided, which was very useful for keeping luggage and valuables secure. The luggage storage room was also well organised and convenient. There are some areas that could be improved. The shared toilets could have been cleaner, and my room did not have air conditioning. There were also no proper overhead lights in the room, only individual reading lights next to the beds, which made the room a little inconvenient at night. The hostel also has a sauna upstairs, which is a nice feature, although I found the process of using it slightly complicated and it could be explained more clearly. They have laundry facilities as well, with the washing machines costing around €1 per use, which I thought was quite reasonable. I tried the buffet breakfast too. It was decent and had enough options for a basic hostel breakfast, although at around €12, I felt it was a little expensive for what was offered. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, which definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, Eurohostel is exactly what it aims to be, a budget hostel with a good location and basic facilities. It isn’t luxurious, and there are a few things that could be improved, particularly cleanliness of the shared bathrooms and room lighting, but considering the price point, it offers reasonable value. I would recommend it for budget travellers, solo travellers and short stays in Helsinki. You get what you pay for, and in that sense, Eurohostel does the job quite well. 🇫🇮

Very good place to stay. Helsinki is expensive. This hotel is very nice.

The rooms were kind of like dorm rooms, with a small bed, desk, and closet. It was pretty spacious though compared to other hostels I've stayed at. The free morning sauna was a treat and I preferred that to the regular showers. The regular showers didn't have a place to put clothes and had a funky smell which I wasn't a fan of. There's a kitchen on select floors. I had my yogurt stolen though so that was a bummer... Not sure how often they clean out the fridges, but after one night it was gone. The hostel is a bit away from the center of Helsinki, but very convenient if you're planning on hopping on the ferry to and from Estonia!
