Emerald Valley Inn

Got a surprise when we reached Emerald Valley Inn as no one was there to facilitate check in. Luckily we pump into a couple who checked in earlier. We were told by the couple that check in is to be done online prior to arrival via a text message from the Inn. But I didn’t receive the text notification. Nor email. The property claimed that they don’t have my contact details despite that I wrote to them a free times - both directly and via Agoda ( booking platform). . Very strange … no attempt to contact. We tried to call the telephone contact provided outside their office but no one answered . The guests from one of the units used their chat link with the Inn to chat and finally reached them . The inn requires guests to call for emergency… do note that is very inconvenient for international travellers to communicate via call this requires roaming and gusts may not subscribed to the service and can be costly ! Suggest that inn uses what’s app so that calls and messages for ease of communication . I hope Emerald Valley Inn understands the helplessness of guests who travelled a long way to settle in to rest and recharge finding ourselves worry where to spend the night .

We enjoyed our stay here. Our guest room felt like a cute little cabin. It was very clean and spacious and cozy. Location is conveniently near Lake Crescent and Merrymere falls. Check-in was a little challenging because check-in & registration is all done online since there is no on-site check-in facility.
