    The location is great, apartment was a good size and very comfortable for this price. Just be aware that the lobby is on level 2 and it can be difficult to park and unload your luggage if you are driving and are not used to the area.

    Here’s a polished, fair, and concise version of your review: ⸻ As a frequent guest of the Ascott brand, this was unfortunately the most disappointing Citadines/Ascott property I’ve stayed at. The biggest advantage is the location—it’s right on La Rambla and very convenient for exploring Barcelona. However, beyond that, it didn’t deliver the level of service or experience I normally associate with the Ascott brand. None of my requests were accommodated, including a large bed, a high-floor room, and a late check-out. While I understand requests can’t always be guaranteed, there was little communication or effort to make the stay feel welcoming. I also found most of the staff to be less hospitable than expected. The amenities were quite limited for the price. There was no microwave, no body lotion in the bathroom, and the hot and cold shower controls were incorrectly labeled, causing me to take two cold showers before figuring it out. On checkout day, I returned to my room around 11:45 AM to collect my luggage, but my key card had already been deactivated, which was frustrating. The elevator’s card reader was also difficult to detect, and the lack of door open/close buttons made using the elevator less convenient. The solarium only opens at 10:00 AM, so if you’re hoping to catch the sunrise, that’s not possible. At over *** per night, I expected a much better experience. I’ve stayed at several Citadines and Ascott properties across Asia, where the service and overall quality have always been excellent. Unfortunately, this property did not live up to those standards. The location is excellent, but for the price, I don’t think the overall service and guest experience offer good value.
