    Trip Type: Leisure / Sightseeing Room Type: Standard Guest Room Review Details If you are traveling to Chicago and want a clean, comfortable, and highly convenient stay without paying ***/night downtown, the Carlton Inn Midway is an absolute hidden gem. At under ***night, it offers unmatched value in the city. Exceptional Hospitality & Local Knowledge The entire staff goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Special thanks to *** and their wonderful team member from Hyderabad, India! Beyond being extremely warm and welcoming, *** gave us fantastic local sightseeing advice. They candidly warned us that one attraction we were planning to visit was boring—we had already booked non-refundable tickets so we went anyway, and they were 100% right! The alternative places they suggested turned out to be the highlights of our trip. Listen to their recommendations! Location & Free Unlimited Shuttle The hotel is in a very safe neighborhood with everything you need within a 1- to 2-minute walk, including a Dollar Tree, Subway, and Chase Bank. Downtown Chicago (Millennium Park / The Loop) is an easy 25–30 minute ride on the CTA Orange Line. While the metro is a short walk away, you rarely need to walk it—their free on-demand shuttle runs unlimited trips throughout your stay between the hotel, Midway Airport, and the nearest metro station. Just call them, and they pick you up or drop you off in under 3 minutes. Complimentary Breakfast Spread The free breakfast goes far beyond a typical cold continental setup: Fresh Items & Pastries: 3 varieties of fresh fruit, fruit yogurt, croissants, sweet breads, plain breads, bagels, and 3 types of muffins. Hot Options: Scrambled eggs, cereals with milk, and multiple non-veg breakfast meats (beef, pork, chicken).     The male front desk employees really need a quick course in hospitality they were rude arrogant and we're making fun of other hotel guests on the property the rooms need to be further inspected when being marked as clean and the breakfast needs to be attended more frequently than what it is because it made us sick on the last day

    The best thing .. it was close to midway orange line station. Going to downtown takes 30 mins... the room was clean. Breakfast was good. Good value for money.
