    Everything about this resort was spectacular. The view and location are truly one of a kind and have defined my trip to Thailand. The balcony net, jacuzzi, and pool are perfect for relaxing and the staff can help ferry you around with their golf cart. Speaking of, the service is great and feels like I am royalty. The food is amazing and I recommend getting room service so you can eat on your balcony. The staff will help you book lake boat tours and find nearby attractions. Too many good things to say, just book it!

    The staff here made my stay 1 million x better!!! A special mention goes to Aranya A. She was so attentive and sweet to me throughout. She ensured to answer any query I had momentarily. I needed to find a day tour of the Cheow Lan Lake and she made the arrangements for me within minutes (also, she found me an affordable option because I’m travelling solo). I can’t stress enough how hospitable and welcoming all of the staff are at this resort. Then there’s the views, the yummy food from the restaurant, the hot tub in my villa facing the gorgeous views; everything was just breathtaking. I’ve seen other reviews of this place and I really think people are so entitled and ignorant when it comes to certain things. For example, the presence of insects and wildlife around and in Caligo resort is completely normal since you’re in the middle of a massive jungle. This is their home, not yours, thus, if you want a “luxury resort stay with an infinity pool and hot tub facing the beautiful views” you can accept whatever else may come with it or just go to a beach resort instead maybe? It is not in anyone’s control that there are bugs/ insects, its completely normal and I am saying this as someone who is scared of insects but I came with an open mind and I’m leaving wishing I had booked to stay for longer. Thank you to everyone here at Caligo resort that made my stay so wonderful and beautiful. I will definitely be returning!

    Wonderful mornings in this lovely resort. Being from a coffee drinking country we were disappointed that instant coffee was the only offer they had. Also the breakfast was a bit disappointing, while the dinner was exquisite.

    The hotel setting is beautiful, and everything including the room and facilities were very well presented - it feels luxurious. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the way all-inclusive was handled left a bad taste in our mouths. We were expecting to be able to eat at the Thai and Italian restaurants a-la carte for the duration of our stay. Instead both of these restaurants seemed to only be serving buffets each time we visited, and food each time was very similar and fairly medicore quality. These were advertised as "themed buffets" around the Christmas period but also required 500 Bhat surcharge despite us being all inclusive - fortunately we were able to get these for free after complaining that there weren't other included options for us, but I imagine many other guests would have paid this surcharge. The one time during our 3 day stay we got to order lunch a-la carte from the Thai restaurant, the food was incredible with a lot of choice - this made it even more disappointing to know that this was the quality of food we should have been eating the whole time. On top of this, there was so much advertising being forced down your throats to pay for extra things (excursions, meal/drinks packages) that it really took away from the luxury feeling. When you're already paying a lot for all-inclusive, you don't expect the hotel to be trying to squeeze more money from you at every moment. Perhaps this was only specific to the Christmas period, but it left a sour taste in our mouths about the whole experience. Another couple we spoke to told us it was not like this when they visited in February
