Die Wohnung liegt nah dem Zentrum der Altstadt aber trotzdem ruhig genug am Rand. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und auf 3 Etagen nutzbar. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht.

Die Dauerbeschallung mit Klaviermusik vom angrenzenden Lokal. Dadurch kam die Nutzung der oberen Terrasse für uns nicht in Frage.

This is a well located and maintained property. It’s an old fashioned property built in an old historic area, hence its quant layout which adds to its whole character. The owners have thought of every eventuality, so you don’t have to look very far to find things you need. Th light switches are dotted about but you soon become used to them. Having 3 balconies, one more of a small terrace which you could have breakfast on. A second with nice seating (although padded seating could do with either being thicker or replaced) which gives you some respite from sun-bathing on the third floor balcony. The view from the upper floors is magical and so relaxing.

We loved the place, if the only thing was to look at thicker cushion seats for outside furniture, it’s a tiny issue when you just relax in this wonderful accommodation. I would have liked a king size bed but that’s based on who we are, and is personal choice.

We had an amazing time during our five days at Retro 51 in Rethymno. We had a whole house at our disposal, structured on two floors and a ground floor, with three beautiful terraces. Depending on the time of day, we used all three. The view of the city from the top-floor terrace is amazing. The house is well-equipped. There are two issues that didn't bother us too much. First, there is only one bathroom on the ground floor, and second, you have to climb two flights of stairs to reach the second level. Those with mobility issues might have trouble. In just 2-3 minutes you can reach the heart of the old town. You are only two steps away from the Venetian fortress. We found a parking space nearby each time, but after six o'clock PM, it's difficult to find a place to park. We will definitely return to this accommodation.
