Amazing stay away from the busy cities.

It was a lovely little unit with everything we needed. We enjoyed that it was remote and away from the more busy places. It was great to walk around the nearby forests. Host was very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent apartment to explore Schwarzwald

Excellent location to vist the Black Forest. Friendly owner. Very clean apartment with good Internet en good facilities. The ratio price-quality is excellent.

Only minor inconvenience is that you have to pay cash. No payment by card possible, despite what it says on Booking.com

We couldn’t get enough of the stunning view from our room!

The accommodation is located right in the heart of the Black Forest in a charming old wooden house far from the pretentiousness of modern hotels. It’s quiet, authentic, and surrounded by nature. We loved hearing the sound of cowbells and even witness a couple of falling stars! Our lovely host prepared breakfast in a shared kitchen that was fully equipped with everything you could need. Despite the hosts’ limited English, communication was smooth, friendly, and always helpful. Just a small tip: as of August 2025 although we booked via Booking.com, we had to pay in cash at the end of our stay. So either double-check with the host in advance or bring some cash just in case.

The views were stunning and it was so peaceful. The apartment was really spacious.

No windows in the kids bedroom but was only a minor downside.

Breakfast: - This is a farm, but you don't get any local products; everything came from the supermarket. - Little variety; you got the exact same thing every day. - No fruit available. Bedroom: - The bed mattress was rock hard. Wi-Fi: - No reception inside Wi-Fi/WLAN constantly drops out. -> Buy a Wi-Fi booster to fix this.

Wonderful stay!

The host was wonderful. Did everything to make us welcome, lovely breakfast and absolutely magnificent location. I will miss waking up to such nature!

Not much wrong with this place. Just be aware that you pay in cash and the nearest cash point is probably Hornberg - not far if you have a car!

the breakfast was very good as expected ,plenty of everything, the location was perfect for walkers and ramblers.in the woods , but only 10 minutes from thr nearest town.

we were looking for peace and quiet and thats exactly what we found. the b&b is quite secluded , ideal for walkers

As beautiful as the pictures. The room was very pleasant with an outstanding view. Each room has access to the wrap-around deck with tables and chairs. Trails heading in all directions for whatever your favorite sport is. Great restaurants nearby. Very friendly owners. Thanks.

Beautiful property for a relaxing quiet stay.

The included breakfast was delicious and satisfying. There is a private parking area for guests. The hostess (Katrin) was friendly, inviting and a very hard worker. Property is located off road B33 on Obergießhof strasse and marked by a sign: "Zimmer Frei". Guests visiting the property will need to be cautious when driving toward the property as the road is one lane wide and has blind areas where passing oncoming traffic is not possible.

The breakfast was very full filling. The location is very convenient from a nice town to have dinner. Very. serine setting, I would encourage anyone to stay at this place. I hostess was very helpful.

Most beautiful stay if you like nature and peace.

Location and the view were exceptional. The only thing you hear are the bells on the Cows. Best place to just relax and refresh from the rest of the World❤️

Beautiful place to give you a real Black Forest Feel

The tranquillity of the place, and that it gave you a real Black Forest feel. Sitting on the balcony, hearing cow-bells and looking at hills and forest, was beautiful. Very good continental breakfast. And the use of the communal kitchen was an unexpected bonus.

Absolutely Beautiful Location and Beautiful Host.

This bed and breakfast is located in a beautiful valley with easy access to the wonders of the Schwarzwald, including the Open Air Museum at Gutach & interesting Schiltach town. The room was very clean, the balcony overlooked a wonderful view, the breakfast was plentiful and the host was so friendly and a wonderful person. We loved our stay and hope to return for a longer stay. Thank you for a marvellous stay.

Very nice staying, relaxing view of the forest and fresh air!

Very nice and calm environment. Landlord also recommended us walking paths around. Which is really relaxing and enjoyable. Love to see the farm animals in the forest.

Very quiet and pretty location. Lovely host. Completely silent at night outside. Nice and clean. Beautiful views from balcony.

Hard to get to. Address on booking.com takes you to a town centre about 10 minutes away from the actual place. Very old fashioned furniture. Old towels that could do with a refresh. Bathroom was kind of like a caravan with a really loud fan. Felt like being in a dolls house and the walls were paper thin.

The location is amazing in serene surroundings. Need a personal vehicle to reach the property. The host was really nice and showed us around the property. Breakfast is available at the property for 5 euros per person.

The internet/WIFI did not work property. It was just too slow and worked intermittently.

The lady owner is nice and friendly, the location in the middle of the Black Forest is great, you can really feel it... plus the starry sky at night is priceless!!

A pochi pochi minuti da Hornberg abbiamo trovato la tranquillità e il contatto con la natura che cercavamo. Appartamento nuovo, spazioso, ben accessoriato e pulitissimo! Esperienza consigliatissima.
