Kytherian Harmony - Paleopolis Estate

A truly beautiful place with breathtaking views over Paleopolis Bay, in lovely grounds — the kind of scenery that stays with you long after you leave. The location is wonderful, just a short distance from Avlemonas, the picturesque little fisherman’s village that’s well worth exploring. Everything about our stay was great, and the owner, Andreas, was so warm and friendly, making us feel welcome from the very start. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kythira and hope to return one day. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία σε ήσυχο μέρος με πολύ όμορφη θέα. Ο κύριος που μας υποδέχτηκε ηταν πολυ κατατοπιστικος και ευγενικός και μας βοήθησε με το τι να δούμε στο νησί.

Η υπηρεσία δωματίου ήταν σχεδόν ανύπαρκτη, καθώς το μόνο που έκαναν ήταν η συλλογή των σκουπιδιών από τα κουβαδακια. Έπειτα απο παράπονα και υποδείξεις το δωμάτιο καθαρίστηκε μόνο 2 από τις 5 διανυκτερεύσεις. Τα σεντόνια δεν αλλάχθηκαν ποτέ (παρόλο που μας ενημέρωσαν ότι θα αλλαχθούν την 4η μερα). Σε γενικές γραμμές δεν έδωσε την εικόνα καταλύματος με παροχές.

The many positives first: the terrace, the view, the compound; all marvelous. Also, they catered to all our requests.

The reason why we had some requests was that our appartement did not have lounge chairs or comfortable chairs and a proper dinner table that all the other apartments did seem to have. It appeared that the bigger apartments were much better equipped although they solved this quickly at our request. The laundry service we booked was disappointing as our clothes came out smelly. Also the towels did not smell nice. Definite room for improvement there.

The view and location are great. Outdoor space lovely.

The listing is a bit misleading--it is called Villa, and is actually just a small 30 sq meter room with a double bed and a single bed with no partition. This is unclear in the photos, we though we were staying in a private place but the property has several small rooms/houses and one larger house. Perhaps it is our fault for not reading thoroughly, but it is also advertised as a villa. Also there was no hot water and very low water pressure both days we were there.
