Cute and affordable with a great host☺️

This property is up in the mountains, a good place to be in nature. The host is super helpful and attentive, he was always texting and asking if he needed help or something. He helped us with dropping is to the closest restaurant Amarta when it was dark and had no drivers, he kindly offered to drop us there and kick us up. Honestly a star! This place is great value for money. It’s clean and spacious, the ceilings are huge! The pool is cute and clean.

This just tiny, but the bathroom has an open section which I guess they use as ventilation, but open sections invites creepy crawlies and mosquitoes! Otherwise it’s a beautiful place

The stay was excellent. The host offers scooter rentals for an additional fee. Very friendly service. We were surprised with a beautiful flower decoration on the bed. Delicious breakfasts, with the option to choose the day before. Highly recommended!

The only thing that could be improved is the presence of ants around the tables by the pool, although I’m not sure if anything can be done about it.

Amazing stay

The owner is super nice and friendly, he makes sure you have everything you need and is always available in the accommodation or by phone. They cleaned the room in the morning, offered us to bring us around to places as we were scared to rent a scooter ourselves and made sure we got food delivery from a restaurant close by. The rooms are super nice and clean and the pool area is super relaxing! Would recommend 100%!!

When staying on Nusa Penida, we had the pleasure of staying 2 nights in this cottage retreat. We strongly recommend this location. It’s truly a great stay, with a fantastic host Allan. He and the team are very welcoming, helpful and have some great recommendations in terms of sightseeing, boats/snorkelling trips and where to go for dinner. The facilities are neat, closely located to the harbour and have some fantastic sunset viewing locations, only 5-10 minutes walking!

Remote and Extras are Costly

The pool is nice, the room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. We arrived at midday and could check-in early rather than wait until 14hr.

The garden is not represented in the photos, it is enclosed by a high grey wall with no view. The location pin on the map is incorrect, it's almost 4kms from the port. There is no restaurant on site as stated, you order from a menu and the nearest restaurant sends a scooter with your order in polystyrene boxes. The food is pricey but average with limited choice. One night they only delivered one meal... so we had to re-order... and wait 30 minutes for the second meal. Breakfast is twice as expensive as anywhere on our journey through Indonesia and the coffee was nescafe in a sachet rather than real coffee. To get to the port or town the taxi is 9€ EACH WAY!! Or you can walk for 50 minutes. If you are on a bike the road is in poor condition so care is needed. I contacted multiple times on booking messenger in advance of arrival but never had a response so communication was poor. They organized a tour, the driver spoke zero English and the tour lasted less than 5 hours. It sounds like we had an awful time, we didn't but we felt cheated by the descriptions and the extra high costs. If I had known in advance I would have certainly stayed closer to town where prices are lower and you have multiple choices.

The pool was great, the host is pleasant and we got a welcome drink.

The road to this accommodation is terrible, there isn't asphalt and this was a deal-breaker for us to not stay more than 1 night. There is about 1 kilometer of rock road to ride a scooter before you get there.

Everything! Comfortable bed, friendly staff, beautiful pool, great breakfast, daily room cleaning, we were able to rent a bike with them for our stay & they helped us with booking tours/taxis. If we’re ever back in Nusa Penida we will return!

An amazing stay with an incredible host!

Our host Allan was incredibly kind and took us to various spots on the island that were beautiful. Our room was cleaned daily and the breakfast that was included was nice too - we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here. Thank you so much Allan for all your help!

Not a criticism of the property but the roads around have potholes and windy so you will need to rent a scooter - Allan can help you rent one from the property :)

Location on the island was great, but the road to it was a little bit hard to take. However, this was the case for many places.

Not clean enough

Easy to access the property

It was dirty. Lots of small bugs on the floor every day. We had to clean it every time we entered the room. The ceilings are too high and some other very little insects falling down on the bed from there. Moist at the bottom of the walls making everything humid. We only stayed one night (paid for 3 night) and we left. The first night we arrived late and we realised also the bed was not that clean. It was some hair behind the pillows… Overall not a comfortable place to sleep. Needs more maintenance and keep it cleaner!!!

You directly feel at home. Allan, the host, is so welcoming and will make sure you have everything you need and even more (like a coconut or a plate of fruits ;-)). They clean your room every day and the pool area is very nice. For the price it's a really good deal. Thank you again Allan and see you soon!
