Good and peaceful

The place is so nice. It's so quiet area. Good for couples. The host are so nice. They are ready to help for anything and at our service. The villa was so nice and good.

The location is bit far from center but it's not a big deal. The villa doesn't provide toothbrush and paste which is the only missing thing I found because they are providing everything so they can also add this small thing as well..

Amazing place to stay if your a wilderness person

Beautiful place, clean pool, amazing staff, centrally located, bug net very helpful.

Massive cockraches, geckos, frogs, the bathroom is very open so we were very afraid snakes could get through it never happened but was a reoccurring thought.

Loved the villa, very fancy country feel but clean tidy and comfy also. Loved all the statues temple the jungle view from our bedroom windows the animals birds and huge koi fish soo beautiful had a real culture feel to the place. The free breakfast was wonderful very organic loved that also. Laundry service is brilliant and nice an cheap. We also got massages and body scrubs through Karunia house for 5 of us and 5 masseuse came at the same time it was brilliant very low cost too for a brilliant service. Staff also amazing and helpful. Thank you Ami at reception and Karunia House team for looking after me and my whanau 🙏

We had a lovely

It is a very quirky villa. We loved the pool. The bedrooms and other rooms were very spacious. The staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was very basic. The bathrooms had a slightly musty smell and the cleanliness could have been a bit better.

A beautiful Balinese hideaway in wonderful Ubud!

A beautiful Balinese hideaway - very quiet, peaceful and comfortable- a great place to chill and relax away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud - very close to our white water rafting tour (you could walk - across from mason adventure) and not far from town but time it right as the traffic in can be hectic. Staff at Karunia house were just wonderful - Thank you for an amazing stay! 😊

Grateful for our first villa experience

Villa was spacious, staff only entered to clean and exceptional service. They would stock up on toilets and replace towels (when asked). Breakfast was always on time. Provided floating breakfast (2,500). Amik went above and beyond with flower arrangements on bed for my 30th birthday and came with a cake. You will experience frogs and fireflies on site. The mosquito nets are very handy in the evening.

Dry blood splatter near pool area. Prepare for ratatouille in the evening and ants on kitchen bench and in rooms. Looking out onto the open hole when in toilet.

Breakfast was delivered to our room and very lovely. The staff we're always very helpful to organise trips and do laundry (at great prices). Overall it was a very lovely stay.

Location was a bit out of town, had to get taxis everywhere but they are cheap so it wasn't a problem. Although the traffic in Ubud main town (about 35 mins away) was VERY slow. But that's not the hotels issue.

Lovely Hosts, Beautiful Accommodation

The service was AMAZING ! The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Breakfast every morning was gorgeous. The beds were big and comfortable. The facilities were good and clean.

The accommodation was a little bit out of the way. Not quite close to town. Had to get taxi's everywhere but the accommodation was able to organise all of that for us

Very peaceful and tranquil. Very clean and it is fantastic to have your own space and pool.

The pillows very hard but the bed is comfortable. A little out of the way for dinning out but we managed to find enough eateries for our stay.

Hidden gem with the best staff

Quiet, peaceful ambience. Spacious. Great views from upstairs. Very private. The staff go above and beyond. I injured my foot while out. The staff offered to find us crutches. Once they found them they traveled to get them for me. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

The traffic around Ubud makes it hard to get anywhere, but that's going to be the case wherever you stay.

Everything! the plants, the decor, the hospitality, the architecture, the food…I adore this place. These people are some kind of special 😌 they treated me like family, made sure I was okay, helped me with everything I needed, fed me good and just as humble as humble can get ! I can’t even put into words how much I loved my stay from beginning to end.

overall a really fabulous villa with wonderful staff

the space, gardens, pool, privacy

the water from the shower goes everywhere. no daily supply of bottled water. 4 small bottles provided at check in and that was all. it was not enough for 5 days for drinking and brushing teeth.

a very disappointing stay

the staff were kind and provided a nice breakfast

the villa was in need or work, the bottom floor in particular was very damp and had mold and lots of peeling paint with a strong musty smell throughout. the kitchen was very poorly equipped with dirty crockery and utensils, several of the glasses were moldy and the fridge very dirty again with mold inside and out. we mentioned this to the staff so hopefully some changes are made, it appears like it has been decaying for sometime however. it would no doubt be a lovely place with a revamp.

Location, facilities and staff were amazing. if we needed anything they would help us immediately. Breakfast was gorgeous and was brought to our room every morning. Beautiful spot all round.

Average villa in Ubud area

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. 5 star service. That was definitely the best part of the stay.

We stayed in the two-bedroom villa, which definitely needs some renovations (especially the bathroom and outside area). There was a weird smell inside the rooms. Also, a few geckos were living in the rooms (which is totally fine by me) but here and then, we found their poop on the floor. The other villas looked nice though (at least from the photos), so it's probably just the two-bedroom one that needs some care. They offer a scooter rental but avoid it if possible. They offered NMAX scooter for 250k per day. I was able to get it for 130k per day from another rental company in Ubud. I've stayed in many villas in Bali, and this was really an average or below-average stay apart from the staff working there. The staff was exceptional.

Don't heaitate to book

The staff were wonderful and so helpful with everything, the villa was perfect escapism which was entirely what was needed. I travelled solo and never felt anything other than safe. It's a little off the main drag but considering how commercialised and busy Ubud is becoming it was definitely the right choice - uber/grab cars so cheap and readily available anyway.
