For us it was not such a big issue, but you should be aware that various insects and small animals may visit you, which is normal given the villa's location.

Cozy stay near Ubud

Communication was very easy, the host and staff were always ready to come over if we had any problems. Very serene,quiet location in the middle of the rice fields away from the main road. Breakfast every morning was provided. Spacious rooms. Drinking water was provided.

The villa could use some maintenance -eg the tiles around the pool, mosquito net around the beds. Maybe adding extra sunbeds would be a good idea to accommodate more guests in the pool area.

We had a magical stay , serene and peaceful .

Breakfast was cooked fresh each morning from a list of options available , along with fresh fruit tea and coffee. Very accommodating on time we would like it served and options of local breakfasts and traditional . We had booed the dinner option in Villa and it was our favorite meal of 10 days in Bali , so good we had it twice ! The local ladies came into the villa in the evening a cooked a delicious spread , and absolute highlight and so affordable. The host was very welcoming and friendly and organized anything we needed. It was the perfect few days of rest and relaxation of our trip.

Nice villa in the ricefields near Ubud

Beautiful location! Comfortable beds and nice swimming pool. The men of the staff were very friendly. Nice that they make breakfast and make up the bed every day.

We are not very critical travelers, but this place needs a good cleaning. For example, there was dust and stains in the bathroom and kitchen was greasy. The owner was allright, but definitely not as friendly as other people we met in Bali. When we arrived there was nobody to greet us and when we called him, he halfway hung up te phone. We waited for multiple hours for him to arrive.

Complete peace and quiet

It’s so peaceful. Loved being away from the town of ubud. The team here are just awesome and so very welcoming. We felt like family.

Staff and owner were very helpful and cordial.

Access road was very narrow. Two cars in opposite direction is problem. Next door neighbor has a complaint for noise, we did not make any such noise.

Amazing property & host!

The host met us on arrival, gave us a tour of the property and gave us the key. Ngakan gave us all the information we required about where to get food (we arrived late at night). We appreciated the fact that we had a washing machine at the property. Two bathrooms had a bathtub - we loved this as well. The bathrooms are quite huge. The staff that made our breakfast were lovely and very kind. They arrived on time and prepared the most sumptuous breakfast. They accommodated all our requests and it was real value for money. Ngakan also came to see us off while we were leaving - the hospitality was just top notch. We stayed at the villa for a short while and we are definitely going to be staying at Umah Bali Villa in the future.

Incredible extension

We basically lived the property and ubud that we decided to cancel and extend an extra night in Umah Bali. The property is spacious, the staff are so kind and we had an incident where a family member got sick and the owners immediately send help. This was very appreciated !

A beautiful location amongst rice fields to relax and be away from the mad tourist crowds of Bali.

My host, Ngakan was exceptional in his service. He was helpful beyond expectation when we needed supplies like beer, delivering it within the hour; I mentioned wanting to try one of the local fruit and he put it in the fridge. He supplied the extra service of being driver and travel guide for a very reasonable daily fee and brought us to the best local restaurants and helped us with planning our itinerary. After a full day of sightseeing and activities, there was nothing better than diving in the pool when we got home. We requested breakfast some mornings which is cooked in our kitchen and beautifully set out at our dining table.

Although Umah Bali is beautiful, it is in need of minor fix-ups like loose tap fixtures etc. Ngakan mentioned that he will be doing a renovation in a few months. Saying that, the rooms are bigger than I expected so it was very easy to overlook any imperfections.

This villa is magnificent! We highly recommend staying. You won’t regret it!

We loved absolutely everything from the villa location (stunning), to the villa comfort and size (extremely spacious with huge bedrooms and giant bathrooms), to the staff - the most welcoming, caring, attentive, patient, knowledgeable and hard working men who you immediately feel like they are family. They go out of their way to help you in any way that you need and more! If I could give this villa 1 million stars for a review instead of just 10 I would. It’s a slice of heaven on earth!

Beautiful villa surrounded by rice fields

The property is fantastic. You get 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, big dining table, washing machine, big balcony, living room with TV and everything you could possibly desire to watch; you can even find some books to read. Oh, and you get a swimming pool just for yourself. One bedroom with toilet is separated from the main house - you can use stairs to go to the top where you'll discover a nice view of the rice fields and have a nice place to sit or even lay down to relax. The nature surrounding the villa is rich - you can see coconuts, durian, rice fields, many kinds of animals (or at least hear them - fish, frogs, ducks, roosters, lizards) ... it makes you feel more connected to the nature while at the same time enjoying the comfort of the villa. We were served breakfast (we chose it from the menu) in a way I will remember forever. One word - beautiful. The parking area is inside the entrance gate of the villa.

Beautiful villa, clean pool, yummy breakfast and the best host ever!

Our host Ngakan was phenomenal- friendly and enjoyed a good laugh, drove us to temples and activities which he also helped organise. He even helped us book our boat to Gili T. His wife cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and they were both so friendly and helpful. Thank you for our stay boss! We know where we will book when we come back to Ubud :)

Family of 4 and the perks of 3 hot water systems

This villa is stunning. The photos do no justice at all. We thought it was fantastic for our family. Children ages are 11, 9, 8 and 4. The 4 year old stayed in the main bedrooms day bed, so a 4th bed. The owner helped with sorting out day trips, getting 2 scooters for the entire stay and took us to the most beautiful restaurant. They also did decorations and a beautiful cake for my daughters 4th birthday Every bathroom has a separate hot water system. Means enough hot water for everyone.

The tiles get slippery but with towels down it was no problem.

Superb

Umah Bali Villa is set in a paradise location in the middle of rice fields and the only noise you hear is birds and roosters. The house is big and comfortable , excellent to sleep, relax by the pool, have some pancakes in the open kitchen, prepared daily by the staff. But above all, Ngakan, the owner, is the person you want to have around should anything happen to you. He goes above and beyond, tending immediately to all your requests, picking you up or dropping you off, taking you to the local market or finding you a driver within 5 minutes when you need to see a doctor. He knows everyone, the best places and best food. An honest serious person. 👏

If you need to stay out from busy cities you should come to stay at the Umah Bali Villa.

I like the villa, the serounding of the villa full of rice terrace.

I dont like the insects, like a ants, mosquito, lizards, frog etc...but I understands that type of serounding will have those types of insects. I still like the places.

A fabulous stay - Just like a home away from home

Hospitality was superb! Pak Ngakan and his wife are like family to us. We told Mr Ngakan we might need more mosquito coils and told him not to rush but Pak Ngakan went and came back on the same day, with more mosquito repellents. He showed us around the villa and was patient in answering my questions. Breakfast was always delicious and was prepared by Mr Ngakan's family members. His son, his wife and sister were all amicable and helpful. We feel very, very happy at the villa. Views were awesome and we could see ducks, chickens, butterflies and beautiful sunrise and sunsets everyday. Just magnificent!

The TV room was warm and could benefit from having a fan. Other than that, we have no issues with our stay there.

Very nice, relaxt and authentic vibe

Ngakan and his staff are very nice, friendly and arranged a lot for us. Scooters, breakfast, dinner, beer, good tips for Ubud and surrounding places. The communication was very easy and fast. The place is in the middle of the rice fields and have the most amazing views. The house has a calm and relaxing vibe and is very big! Also a big plus; the beds where good! Had a good night sleep.

It’s a little far from the centre of Ubud, but if you know you can anticipate on that. Also it’s an “older” villa, but we think it gave an authentic vibe to it.

We had a lovely stay in the villa. It is in a beautiful setting and close to attractions in Ubud and the town centre. The hosts also offered us lifts and were always really friendly and very helpful, I recommend staying here to anyone!
