A little piece of paradise in the Durmitor mountains

If you dream of waking up to mountain views and total peace — this place is perfect. The house is surrounded by nature, there’s nothing but silence and fresh air. Mornings are beautiful — mist, light on the peaks, the smell of pine trees. Inside, everything is new and super clean — windows, furniture, bathroom — but made of wood, so it still feels like a real mountain cabin. Cozy, warm, and with that special feeling that you’re really somewhere wild and beautiful, not just on holiday. Breakfast and dinner – made with love Dušanka and Tatjana cook incredible meals. Breakfast is a small buffet with everything you could want — cheeses, meats, pastries, fruit, juices, even local dishes to try. Dinner is homemade, served with care, and changes every day. Everything is so tasty and feels personal — they really treat you like family. Perfect balance between comfort and nature Even though you’re up in the mountains, it feels like a proper boutique stay. The rooms are warm, the beds are soft, the view is breathtaking. You can tell the hosts truly care — they’re always kind, smiling, and ready to help with anything. It’s not just a place to stay — it’s an experience. Calm, warm, real. I left feeling completely recharged. Would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Durmitor.

The place is beautiful, it’s a unique experience in the nature, very quiet place, the sky full of stars in the night and fresh air in the morning.

The internet is slow, which is important because in the mountains there’s no signal. No card payment available.

The location, the quietness of the community, the peaceful place. The cabin house has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the little life in the mountain. Good value for money.

Great views, great food in the heart of Durmitor

The area is beautiful. The owner is super informed about Durmitor National Park. Great traditional breakfast. Upon request they cook dinner for you and its wonderful. Main owner helpful with booking pizzas at 1030pm as we were hungry when we arrived and everywhere was closing.

The rooms are a bit crude and spacing is limited but if you want to experience a traditional house of Montenegro thats exactly how it is. This was in fact where the owner used to live for some years. Once I learnt that I appreciated the property much more. In the 4 bedroom house the bedrooms upstairs have no bathroom and there is not enough proper storage space.

Cozy cabin, great views - lovely overall :)

I'm not sure what I expected when booking this place, but I definitely don't have any major complaints! Breakfast was yummy, the area around the chalet was nice to walk around. It was cozy, peaceful and quiet. We didn't do everything we planned to in Durmitor because it rained quite a bit during our stay, but it felt like a nice ski-town with a "family" vibe. The dinner we asked the hosts to prepare for us was also phenomenal. There were only 2 of us in the chalet and we had more than enough space, although more would also easily fit upstairs. There were also more than enough towels, blankets and cutlery. Finally, I can't say enough nice things about the responsiveness of the hosts. Thank you for the hospitality!

The bathroom smelled a little after a while, probably because there isn't a lot of ventilation, but we managed.

This is one of many trips to this paradise!

We loved being slightly away from the busier areas, and being able to walk out of our door right onto the foothills and the road heading up to Durmitor. The cabin was so warm and comfortable and the swing out the front very relaxing! We were also adopted by a gorgeous local dog.

The attic ladder up to the bedroom was borderline for us - still very fit but a bit risky if going down to the loo during the night!

Superb

Very friendly host, good breakfast and amazing location! The house is small and cozy and still it has everything you need for a vacation in this private, quiet and magnificent place. The mountain view is breathtaking and totally worth it.

The Wi-Fi connection wasn't very strong. So if you have to work from there, that could be the problem. But I'd recommend to leave all your daily routine behind and just enjoy nature ;)

Friendly host and a great stay

Amazingly friendly host that helped us to explore the beautiful national park ! Cheap and very good Montenegrian breakfast available. A three meal dinner is also available for a cheap price although we did not know that upfront so missed the opportunity. The cabins were cosy and well warm in the colder mountain climate. The national park is only a 10 minute drive

Bathroom facilities could be a bit better but considering the price it was fair. Only one outlet in the two person cabin.

It is our second visit and we feel like a family...We liked new improvements incuding buffet breakfast ..The best was sleep after a very stressful period I slept as a baby for the first time in months. Thanks to the owner and his kind team..We shall be back :-)

Maple is a reason more to visit Žabljak again

Chalet was very nice and clean, totally naturelike. Surrounding is full of wild flowers, and the mountain view is exceptional especially perfect in the morning. We enjoyed full privacy, and when you need company, there is a small restaurant where you can have breakfast/dinner or have a coffee/rakija. The best impression is to leave the host himself with his lovely family, which makes you feel very welcomed and cosy.

Lovely stay in Durmitor National Park

The coziness of the hut that is surrounded by nature. good bed and excellent location. Stojan, the host, was attentive and very nice to help us with our luggage that was lost between connecting flights.

The place itself was amazing. Easy to find, with a great view and a hospitable owner. To put swings on the territory was also quite a nice idea.

Our best stay in Montenegro

Such a lovely place, few minutes from all the attractions. Cozy and warm and night even though it was 3 deg celsius outside. Showers were also really hot. The host is really nice and had a great time with him, really recommended!!

Comfy and quiet stay

We spent 2 nights at Maple Village in late November, so the weather was not really pleasant, but it didn't affect our stay: the house was very well warmed by the host before our arrival. The chalet is cosy, comfortable, clean and neat, we really enjoyed spending time there and to communicate with the host! Also, the kitchen has everything.

Finding the balance between hot and cold water usually was a challenge, the pressure was not constant. But this small disadvantage was negligible.

Beautiful, cozy getaway!

We had such a wonderful time! We stayed at Maple village for a night and were so impressed by the attention to detail, friendliness of the owner, and the beauty of the surroundings. The cabins were spotless and the breakfast was lovely. It was clear they take pride in the property and in treating their guests well, which made our stay extra special. The fall foliage was gorgeous, too!

Awesome hospitality and lovely and stunning place! Calm surrounding which we loved! We had also breakfast which was super delicious! You can tell that everything in this accommodation is done with lots of passion. Hiking is easy accessible within few minutes with a car and the scenic roads are mind blowing!
