About this cottage rental
Grasmere has a number of shops including gift, walking and convenience stores. Enjoy afternoon tea in one of the tea rooms or hotels, bar meal washed down with a local ale in the pubs or enjoy a delicious meal in one of the restaurants if you are celebrating something special. The Heaton Cooper gallery is located in Grasmere opposite the village green where ice creams can be purchased and eaten while taking in the view of Helm Crag (known locally as the ‘Lion and the Lamb'). Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick are all just a short drive making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District
Old Bakers Cottage is a cosy characterful cottage tucked away just off the centre of Grasmere. It was once a bakery serving the village, but is now an ideal honeymoon cottage. Situated on the ground floor beneath Bakers Rest, the cottage is perfect for a family or couples looking for accommodation all on ground floor level.
Old Bakers Cottage is heated with electric radiators and comprises. Open plan lounge/dining room with comfy seating around the feature fireplace with stove effect fire, TV and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. The handy utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and coat and boot storage. Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. King size bedroom (which can be converted to twin beds upton request) with luxury en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle.
All electric, bed linen and towels provided. Courtyard with seating. There is one parking permit available. Cot available.
