Borgo Ognissanti Central and Charming Location

good location in Firenze close to everything and close to the station. Plenty of space and not noisy.

There was nothing I can think of that I didn't like

Water takes a little while to run hot (but no big deal)

The location was relatively close to the central train station. The proximity to public transport, to a bike rental, to laundry services, to a market was excellent. It is also very walkable to the main city attractions. The size of the property was outstanding. We would stay here again for sure.

The obvious highlight here is the apartment's location. It is very central and everything is reachable on foot within only some minutes. There is also a small market on the same street where we could buy groceries which was very handy during our stay. The apartment itself was spacious and was very clean. There was a kitchen for cooking, but we did not really use it. The heater worked all right and there was a power socket next to the bed for charging up our devices over night.

We traveled by plane to Florence at night and arrived at the apartment at 23:30. Although in the apartment's description there was the possibility to self check-in, the host said it was not possible and charged us with extra 50 euros for the late check-in, just 30 minutes after the limit. Unfortunately we only exchanged messages about this two days before our arrival, so that there wasn't margin to plan anything else. Honestly, the host's messages were even a bit aggressive, in my opinion. At the end we paid the extra 50 euros when we met him at the apartment to get the keys. I cannot even say what was his name, because he didn't even introduce himself. He just received the payment, explained the minimum necessary about the apartment and left straight away. Our time together took no longer than 5 minutes. It was an unfortunate event to start our short stay in Florence. If we would have taken these extra 50 euros in consideration, I am confident that we would have found something else for the same price, but definetely more friendly. Apart from this, the bathroom was quite old and from the pictures you cannot picture the real scenario. The shower cabin was very small and there was no furniture to put our hygiene products. The bed was too soft for me, but this might be just a personal taste. The balcony is not really a balcony, but an area on the parking lot behind the building, with no view whatsoever. In my opinion that area should not be advertised as a balcony.
