Jungle paradise

A magic stay in Ubud

The stay in Batu Agung has been pure magic. We had great time and we have found an amazing staff who works with dedication and love. Everything was perfect and for sure we’ll be back soon again.

Its was beautiful but not right for a family with young kids.

I loved the beautiful secluded feel of the property the private pool area was absolutely beautiful and Ideal for a older group teens upward. Customer service was good and highly responsive beds were super comfortable.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa sadly it is not great for a young family the pool was 1.5 deep with no fence. The level is split and the stairs are solid rocks that is beautiful to the visual aspect sadly with young kids it’s dangerous and hard to safe guard them especially a toddler. We booked for 5 night when tried to explain that my reasons and asked for early check out they refused any refunds. The showers were coming off the wall and the bathroom wasn’t really clean only one tv was available to watch out of 3. Also take eye masks the little windows lets in a lot of early light. Sadly the food options are limited I was told things like cereal wasn’t available so if you have picky kids be prepared.

Good value for money in Batu Agung villa

The pool at night is so beautiful. The room was clean and the bathroom was big with a lot of facilities like shampoo, conditioner, comb, toothbrush, etc. Which were nice details. There was also a tray with some fruits coffee and tea when we arrived. The room was also big.

Tv does not have Netflix as stated in booking. Drinking Water is not unlimited.

A Great place to stay for family and friends in UBUD

The place is slightly away from UBUD town, say 10 mins from the center. However the rooms are pretty near, the staffs are very friendly. food was very good. toilets were neat and clean. The service was very good.

1. There are not enough plug points in the room 2. The AC was not working properly, we were sweating in the room 3. Please have 1 fan in every room.

Great location, friendly staff, pretty clean

The ladder to our private pool was broken so we couldn’t use it. Also had an issue with the ventilation in the bathroom and had some repair men come in to fix it in the evening.

Nice hotel, location not ideal but not awful

The property is actually really nice with a lovely pool and nice rooms. The breakfast was very good and the facilities are good.

The property is at the southern end of Ubud which is slightly less glamourous and the entrance does not feel as nice as the rest of the hotel feels. It was about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Ubud but we did this daily and got to know the local area.

Below expectation, not worth for the value of money.

1. The Villa design is nice for small group gathering for 5-6 pax. 2. Check in process are quite hassel free

1. The villa location is a bit far from Ubud main streets, not walking distance. 2. Not very accessible to any convenient stores as it is away from main streets. 3. Overall floor cleanliness is poor, all rooms shower facility are disappointing, poor drainage, without wet and dry area. 4. Hotel breakfast are below average. 5. Common pool are dirty, it looks more like a mossy pond instead of swimming pool for a dip. 6. I have arrange a room deco as a pre wedding surprise for my friend, and I have reminded the villa not to spell the name wrongly but the spelling was still wrongly done.

Amazing would def come again

First of all i can say is thank you to the staff that works here! I had an accident with my scooter the day i was coming for my check in and injured my leg, so i was basically stuck in my room the whole time I was visiting but the staff were so nice and helpful delivered the food to my room that I had ordered and even went to the pharmacy for me! Also always checking on me everyday🥺 the place was very well kept! THANK YOU FOR YOUR AMAZING WORK!!

If I have to point out something I wish that the breakfast would have been included but at the same time I don’t know could I have chosen that option while booking, the food was really good though!

2 room villa a disappointment

Nice staff. Big / wide beds, nice breakfast pancakes.

I did tell the staff about all of the following during our stay: * Shower rail broken off from tiled wall in room 2 so very hard to use as it moved, * mattress edge alongside headboard was visibly dirty with dust and other stuff on room 1 bed (it had been there a while I'd say), * all sheets in both rooms needed changing on our arrival as we saw small bugs all over them in both beds, * dirt sitting in bottom of private villa pool (easily visible morning and evening when pump wasn't running), * pool ladder was very very unsafe as its coming away from its fixture so we did not use it. This 2 room private villa was intended to be a treat on our holiday so I paid more for that, but honestly wish I hadn't bothered. If I hadnt paid in full in advance I would've expected a discount, it was very disappointing.

My 4-year-old Grandson and I were given the room under the Kitchen after 3 poisoned and dying mice dropped out of the ceiling onto our bedroom floor. We were in the 3-bedroom Villa. Breakfast was a generous size. I quite liked the Rooster crowing at odd hours, the shy cat, frogs, toads, geckos and bats. The kids were fascinated by them all.

The location proved difficult for our family's age range. Distance is a good walk but the paving part of the way is hazardous for young children. Roads are so congested that the motorbikes jump the kerbs and use the same path. I was clipped by one bike and others came too close to our 4-year-old for comfort. Uber drivers will struggle to reach you due to the 2 intersections between the hotel and City Centre. If they pick up your fare then expect to watch your pick-up time being pushed out 40 minutes. The Hotel asked premium price for a shuttle, one day 100000 rph and the next 150000. We were quoted 550000 rph for our return trip to Legian and once accepted we were told it could be more. We arranged our own pick up for 400000. We were in the 3 bedroom Villa in the Dry Season and found each room extremely damp, you could feel it in the bedding and any clothes you left out. I was glad to leave when we did as my Mother developed a nasty wet cough which I don't feel the room conditions helped. Bathrooms are very dark and the hot water pressure runs low after a while.

The villa itself is not being maintained well. Lots of small issues that added up to a lack of quality. Plaster coming off the walls, dust from the ceiling (in the bed), doors not closing, deck around pool hasn’t been oiled (cracked and wobbly), curtains can’t close. Also the roosters around the property would start cockling around 4am, very frustrating.

A little green gem on the southern edge of Ubud.

The property has a reasonable size pool in a beautiful small garden with rooms around the pool and a couple of villas for family groups. The villas have plunge pools (fun for the children although deep) but I preferred the main pool. Batu Agung Villa was quiet and peaceful, away from the traffic and bustle of the main road. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. I loved the greenery of the garden and the birds that came through. It was smaller than I thought from the photos, and it's in a lower lying area of land with another property on the other side that rather overlooks it (but that's just walls rather than windows). The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had to move rooms because something (termites/ants) was causing dust from the roof to fall on my husband's pillow. Staff were very helpful though in arranging for us to switch room. Unfortunately my son left a special pendant somewhere in the room and although I emailed as soon as we realised it it was missing and sent a photo, it wasn't found. We found (and informed the reception desk) that someone had left two folded shirts on a higher shelf in our room - seems staff could check rooms more thoroughly when guests depart. We have no mobility issues, but access to the property is down a fairly narrow pathway and the site itself is on a steep slope with the dining area at second storey level up wooden stairs. It could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

The staff was really helpful and nice, always ready to make our stay a better experience. And the restaurant was very good!

The room was a little dark, especially because we liked to have the curtains closed as the windows gave directly to the bedroom
