Friendly staff and close to amenities. Bedding was clean. Spacious room. En suite was a bonus for the price.

A Good Budget Hotel.

Overall, for a budget hotel, it was quite a pleasant stay, with clean, comfortable bedding, with a clean in good order bathroom. The bedroom had a bedside lamp with a bedside on the wall cubby hole to put your coffee and tea in or on. The shower worked well, with a sliding tight fitting glass door, with basin tap and toilet all in good working order. The staff were very friendly and understanding if I had any queries. Also, situated on the hill towards the old part of the town, this hotel lies near the newer part of the town too, being in a very good location. We will stay again.

A few small issues were addressed to the staff that they are currently working on. Let's hope that they succeed with overcoming these.

Worst hotel ever

Didn’t liked at all

No cleaning was done we found weed in chest drawer as shown in photo and in bottom shelf we found toothbrush wall paint was ripped tv was not working tv remote was somewhere near the near the chest drawer with all dust and spider web toilet seat had a broken hinge . I told the guy working on the reception say i was broken he said it was from the beginning i will not recommend anyone to stay here

Stear clear if travelling with kids

Not much. It did have clean sheets

The window child lock was broken on the top floor with a low set window almost reaching the floor so was dangerous. The fan cover was missing off the floor fan which again was dangerous and couldn’t be used on a warm day. If I’d have travelled with a young child I’d have had to get a different room or leave. There was mould on the shower head. I woke up smelling cigarette smoke from inside the building which isn’t great for my asthma. The lock code they gave me to get back into the building after 8pm did not work. I tried multiple times. Lucky I was being a bit cynical and had asked my daughter to wait inside first in case it didn’t work or we would have been locked out all night!

The only positive thing I can say is I saw a tag on a bed saying it was flame retardant….

The room that I stayed in was absolutely disgusting. The room was filthy and damp, the bed sheets were stained. There was spit on the walls, there were people working in one of the rooms until about 1am with loads of hammering. Loud voices until about 4am. This should not be called or advertised as a hotel as it is more like a squat and they should not be allowed to have guests let alone charge them for the privilege of staying. I felt unsafe and vacated the property at 6am having only been able to sleep for about 2 hours. It was also meant to be a double room with a double bed and it was a single room with two single beds.

The worst

At least there was warm water out of the shower and the bedding was fresh.

This was honestly the worst i have ever experienced. Dirty af, the smell of Weed in the Toilette, door at the shower was missing so the whole bath was flooded. Could not see outside because noone cleaned the window within 5 years it seems. The worst part was when several beetles crawled out from under the bed in the morning. Absolutely not recommended, even though you can't expect much at the price of 50 pounds.

Very comfy bed lovely shower , lovely bathroom. Great location

Tv aerial not working, no tv to watch a bit noisy on the Friday night people chatting and slamming doors. No spoon and not enough milk could only make 1 drink.

The location.

It was generally quite grotty and in serious need of some refurbishment. The entrance is in a poor state. The mattress was in a bad state-creaky, noisy and uncomfortable.The shower drain was partially blocked as the water was not flowing through as it should. I liked that the sheets was clean and the staff was friendly.

No key for the room which is a must and then I had to be up at 6:30am for work and getting woken up at 5am by loud people in the building which I wasn't happy about

The cheapest place in town for a reason.

Good location for nipping into town for food and drink.

The room had 2 beds, me was clean the other had dirty sheets. There was a wet patch of carpet outside the bathroom, the windows were patio doors looking out to a dirty little court yard. There were hanging wires by the tv.
