What a lovely, homely, oh so welcoming little cottage. It was so genuinely homely and cosy. From the moment we arrived on the driveway, it felt as if the cottage was welcoming us in and encouraging us inside to relax and unwind. Yes the old fashioned staircase was a challenge, but you know what, it didn't seem to matter one bit as we felt so comfortable being there it added to the authentic charm of the place. We felt really safe and looked after. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, firm, but not too firm, also large too with very comfy duvets and blankets for extra added cosiness which was just perfect. I had the best night sleep I'd had in years in the pine double/king size in the back bedroom and morning came far too quickly as I didn't want to have to get up! It was also nice and warm and such a lovely place, by the end of our stay we didn't want to go home. It was also exceptionally clean throughout and the little extras's showed kind thought too thank you and were very much appreciated. And what a great location - literally took us 90 seconds to walk to to the first pub which was a really nice place and then another minute to walk on to the next one where we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and catered for us being GF!! How fantastic! Location was spot on and being adjacent to the garage meant we could get any essentials by simply crossing over the road! We truly relaxed at Megs Cottage which is not something I can say very often when staying away from home. The shower was great and a big bathroom and it was nice to make a meal in the cosy kitchen, it felt like a proper loving home and you could really feel the history. If we are ever in that area again we will certainly be back without any hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Location is great for the village , pub around the corner does nice meals and there’s a children’s park next door . Nice little cafe and pizza shop a few doors down. Across the road there’s a spar and Greggs within the garage . Handy to access locations we visited the seals , ROARR dinosaur park , and explored Norwich .
Cottage was nice and cosy , beds were comfy with plenty of blankets . Everything well equipped inside and easy to find.
Everything was fab , I would say the only negative is that I have a large SUV and struggled with the hedge in the driveway to get the children in and out of their car seats . I think if the hedge was cut back it would make things easier for parking .

Closeness to everything and our family who live in Norwich.
Table and chairs at back of Garden need a good clean and paint so we could use them but other than that it was fabulous.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location for us. So clean and everything had been thought about for the perfect stay. And a lovely gift of local fruit juice and biscuits were left for us - so thoughtful.

It was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bright with lots of windows. Walking distance to two great pubs. Our favourite was the Cock Inn. Would highly recommend.
Stairs were steep and curved. We had no issues but may be difficult for elderly guests.

The cottage was warm and cozy, as well as comfortable. It was very close to the places we had planned on visiting, making travelling easier as well. The beds were comfy, the cottage was beautifully and delicately decorated, and overall the place felt vey homely. They also had a lovely selection of games, that I enjoyed with my family, and books, some of which I read peacefully in my spare time. That being said, the location was very peaceful and quiet despite being so close to the road.
The stairs were really narrow and steep with really small steps which made going up and down slightly stressful. Also, the bathroom lock was small and stiff, making it difficult to lock and unlock the bathroom. Moreover, we were three people but only got two towels. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Great location. Cosy flat. Peaceful. Drayton village has all the amenities you need close by. Norwich was 10 minutes in the car. Lovely walks close by along an old railway line. Great choice of reading material offered in the cottage. Great value for money.
Two of our family are 6'6", so we had to be careful on the stairs and coming through doorways. Not a criticism nor a reason to avoid this charming cottage. Owners prompt with responding to our initial call before we set off for Norfolk.

Close to bus stop to get to Norwich and local pubs with good food.
Comfortable
Parking was difficult with a large car with not much room to get out of the car.
Stairs and steps in the cottage Quirky but difficult to use if older and not fit.
Secondary glazing no good in hot weather when you want the windows open, due to road noise.
Pretty garden but overgrown and seating restricted by plants.

Lovely cottage in an excellent location, great value for money, plenty of places to eat nearby, excellent clean & safe play area just around the corner which the kids loved and went to daily. Easy access to all beaches and towns. Will definitely book again.

Lovely, clean, well equipped cottage, well situated to travel around Norfolk
Nothing really. The narrow staircase needs careful navigation, which may not be suitable for a physically challenged person. The house on to a busy highway when getting car out.

Great location for all attractions. The cottage was very cosy, clean and well maintained. The games for the children were great and it appeared that the hosts had thought about everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay.
Getting out of the drive at busy times.

This property was an excellent find.
It’s location was excellent with links to Norwich by bus or walking.
The cottage was lovely and everything was as seen in the pictures or described on the site.
We usually like to try different cottages, but will definitely return to this one as it’s ideal for when we go to see bands in Norwich (plus we didn’t get the full experience of the surrounding village and walks, due to being there as lockdown was being put in place!)
The owners were great and had a lovely conversation with them regarding our dog staying.
Would highly recommend...

Comfortable cottage, well equipped and with plenty of room
Staircase was very narrow and steep and with a downstairs bathroom not really suitable for us in our 70's. But we managed as everything else was lovely

The cottage is situated perfectly for visiting Norfolk attractions. The village has excellent amenities and the cottage is very well appointed and very clean.
The junction outside the cottage can be very busy so reversing the car into the driveway was sometimes tricky.
