Quiet residential area, which was good. Near the station, request bus stops in the area. Corner store nearby.
Fridge door sticks and you have to exert pressure to push the door shut. There's a note stuck on the fridge to ensure it's properly shut. Also, when you open the fridge door, the freezer door opens as well. Kitchen windows do not open. A bag with the dirty linens from probably the last guests' stay was left on the floor in the living room. Beds were not made - we had to call. House located off Nether Street on the side close which made it not so easy to locate, (to be fair, I don't remember if this location was mentioned or not in the instructions). Other than

Loved the look of the house and how many rooms it had. Had a nice old-fashioned vibe to it! Also liked the location, very easy to get around North London by vehicle (there were also good public transport options nearby). It was nice to have three bathrooms, especially one with a bathtub (since our son doesn't like showers). Parking near the house was very easy, always available, as it was on a private road. The neighborhood was nice and quiet! Whenever we had questions for the management team, they were always very responsive.
The carpets on the stairs and upstairs hallway were worn out in places and looked like they could do with replacing. We didn't have access to the bathroom with the bathtub for the first few days(the door was locked for some reason), but this was rectified by the management team very quickly. The sofa downstairs wasn't all that comfortable and looked a bit outdated. While we appreciated having a dryer to use, we found that it didn't turn off automatically after any cycle, which, although we were informed about when we asked, we felt was a safety hazard, and there should be a warning label on the front of the machine. The downstairs windows were all locked, so we couldn't open them when the house was warm (we could open the back door, as there was a key for it, though we didn't discover this at first). Again, this might be a safety concern because there were only two modes of exit (the front door and the back door). It would have been helpful to have a key to unlock these windows. Also, when we arrived at the property, we found that the outside bin was half full, which made it challenging to put our rubbish into. We also didn't know that there was a bin collection every week done by the council. A general information folder in the house explaining these things to people renting might be helpful.

The cottage is located in a quite corner and has offstreet parking. It was a smooth check in.
It could be such a nice cottage to stay, unfortunately it looks and feels like being neglected. The pictures should be updates. The cottage needs refurbishment: very creaky floors, in the living room you smell sewage, fridge/freezer could have been cleaner, ignition for stove doesnt work, oven looks very used, one toilet doesnt flush properly. And on windy/rainy days, it was very noisy, it sounded like the roof wouldnt withstand the storm. We didnt really spend time on the ground floor and were almost only on the top floor; unfortunately the wifi signal is not that strong there. In addition, it is really strange to arrive at the cottage to find several doors being locked. Also, for a professional company we expected a faster response time and we were asked to empty the bins before we leave.
