A stay at this popular cabin puts you a stone's throw from shops and dining in the Village of Cheshire and just a mile from beautiful downtown Black Mountain. Blue Jay's Perch is the perfect place to call home base while in Western North Carolina. This economical cabin experience is a great motel alternative and comes complete with rocking chairs and a cozy wood-burning fireplace. Note that the full bed in the loft, which is accessible only by ladder, is best suitable for the more adventurous guest - older kids love it! After a fun-filled day exploring the local surroundings, a soak in the jetted tub will relax you for a good night's rest in the king-sized bed. Wake up and find your new favorite place to be among the trees enjoying the simplicity of Blue Jay's Perch! This vacation rental is located in Black Mountain and is approximately 19 minutes to downtown Asheville. • 1-Story Cabin • Loft • 1 King Bed and Full Bed in Loft • 1 Full Bath • Main Level: King Bed in Living Area; Full Bath w/ Jetted Tub • Loft: Full Bed Important Property Notes • A visit to the Village of Cheshire provides an authentic mountain experience with a convenient location. Please note there is no parking next to this cabin. Be prepared to encounter rough terrain such as steep, unpaved trails leading to your cabin and stone stairs when walking to your cabin from the parking area. Appropriate footwear and easy-to-carry luggage are strongly suggested. This cabin is not recommended for guests with mobility limitations due to the nature of the location. • While the cabin is surrounded by trees, this cabin is centrally located in the Black Mountain area and traffic can be heard from the nearby road, particularly during peak commuting hours and summer season. • The lower level of Blue Jay's Perch is used by Carolina Mornings housekeepers. The lower level entrance is on the opposite side of the house as the guest entrance, so you shouldn't notice them at all! Each reservation staying 28 days or less includes our exclusive Mountain Discovery Pass, which includes one Biltmore Estate pass, in addition to a ticket for other seasonal attractions that are sure to delight and entertain! Charming property in the mountains. The location is fantastic, set in the middle of a small wooded area yet close to town. The cabin size was perfect for a romantic couples getaway. Although the property was exactly what we were looking for in terms of location and size, for the price we paid, the cabin could be cleaner. It was very dusty, floors where dirty, cobwebs on the walls and ceiling, cutains were broken, bedding had hair, and the mattresses were extremely old and uncomfortable.
