"Very cute little cabin! Very clean. Washer and dryer are in the unit and free. Bottom level is cold on bear feet and the fridge is smaller but doable. "

The cabin is beautiful, but the furniture is in strong need of updating, especially the bed.

Cabin was beautiful. Steep hill down to the cabin. Private. Cozy. Great back porches upstairs and downstairs. Concrete floor downstairs was cold. Small rugs by bed were nice. Needed a small rug in bath when getting out of shower. Bed was small for two people, felt like a double. And wrought iron headboard kind of hard to lean against with pillows. Nice to have TP and paper towels, etc. The refrigerator was smaller than hoped for. Dorm size fridge, no ice trays. Staying for several days made it tough to have more groceries needing to be cold. Cheshire Village is absolutely beautiful. You can hear cars driving by which was unexpected, but ok. The walking trails were beautiful. Property was wonderfully located within minutes of downtown Black Mountain.

This cabin at the end of the road with a steep wood chip path down to the front door which was a challenge for suitcase / groceries was not delightful or cozy, but acceptable. It's a very dark house with the bedroom downstairs with a cement floor and grungy closet space. I took the upstairs bathroom and closet and spent my time up there except for sleeping. I never went out on the decks because it was dirty and uninviting with last fall's leaves not swept and it was mid-May. Still dark, secluded, but freeway noise, very difficult to find on check-in even with the staff on the phone it took me 45 minutes. They lockbox would not open which took time, patience,& caused frustration and was the same on check-out. I really did not enjoy my stay in this cabin and would not stay there again. There was an indication that there was a hot-tub on the deck, which was not true. There was a jacuzzi bath-tub on the main floor bathroom and I attempted to use it but the water did not stay hot long enough to fill up the tub so that failed. The refrigerator is extremely small, hardly big enough for 1 person. The last night I was there the smoke alarm above the bed in the basement went off at 1:30 AM and along with the standard beeping it screamed "FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!" There was not a fire, or smoke and it eventually went off but had my anxiety was heightened and it ruined my sleep that night. I thought the neighborhood of Cheshire Village was very cute and I enjoyed walking around it.
