An apartment that transported us to another world.

It's a unique property in a great location with a great terrace. Very convenient for the old city. Supermarket next door. Alessandro was so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful classic accommodation in an ideal location

This is an extremely comfortable apartment just outside the old town. It is in an ideal location…very close to shops/cafes etc, just a short walk into town, but very quiet at night. The apartment itself is in a beautiful classic block (with a lift to take you up to the top floor) and it feels very welcoming…with lots of books, comfy beds, and a lovely big kitchen …and of course the fantastic terrace. The host is very welcoming, with lots of local knowledge. We had a really great stay in Genoa and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Living like a local in Genoa, La Superba

We liked the location and the traditional feel of the apartment. The terrace was wonderful with a fine view of the surrounds and the sunsets. The nearby Carrefour Express was useful for basics, and we found other shops and restaurants not too far away. The air-conditioning was useful, particularly at night.

There was a minor issue with washing up - no bowl or washing up liquid.

Perfect relax on terrace

Spacious apartment, very nice furniture in old style, perfect marble kitchen, and of course terrace that is pure magic. Very quiet neighborhood. All my recommendations goes to this apartment, and Alessandro who was so nice.

Excellent location, close to the city center and public transport stations. Clean, spacious terrace, cosy atmosphere. Great host, very responsive, helpful - called a taxi for us when we left for the airport.

A fabulous base for exploring Genova

The house is beautiful and very well equipped with a lovely terrace to relax on. It is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood with easy access to local facilities, including restaurants and shops. It also allows easy access to the historic centre of Genova and to transport links. Alessandro, the host was extremely helpful and provided us with lots of recommendations for our stay. The house has air conditioning which we really appreciated.

There was nothing we didn't like. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Great location spacious balcony a huge plus!

Lovely spacious apartment with generous balcony. Close to get into the city on foot. Alessandro very communicative and met us at the apartment even though it was gone 8pm (very patient with my sketchy Italian), responded promptly to messages. We had a lovely time in Genoa and had a comfortable stay at Alessandro’s clearly well loved typically Italian apartment. Grazie mille.

Truly perfect location and the lovely terrace is a bonus

We loved this clean, comfortable, spacious apartment. The terrace is wonderful and the location really perfect. A short walk from Genoa historic centre but also close to Brignole station, so very easy to get to many lovely seaside villages- Camogli, Nervi etc. Also just a few steps from Cafe Mangini, probably the best cafe in Genoa! We’d definitely stay here next time we’re in Genoa.

Personally we’d have appreciated basics like washing powder and a better stocked kitchen. But probably most people don’t cook when here so it’s a small quibble.

Historic, comfortable, quiet, central apartment with gorgeous large terrace to enjoy Genoa

Excellent quiet location in southern Castelletto district but close to train and center. Large rooms well furnished with good privacy between rooms. Delightful terrace for 6+ people to enjoy appertivo or a meal. Carrefour Express one minute walk away fully stocked. Great host with restaurant recommendations. He also called a taxi for us. Excellent water pressure and hot water. Well stocked kitchen. Washing machine. Lift. Book this if you can get it!

Wonderful large apartment

Wonderful apartment close to the town. Alessandro the owner is very nice and gives you all the information you need for a great stay. The apartment is very large with an outstanding extremely large balcony. You have everything you need for your stay. There is a express type shop (carrefour) right downstairs so that's very convenient and not far to bring shopping.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the apartment. The only thing I will add is for disabled persons. I chose this apartment as I have limited mobility and it said upper floors accessible by lift, and they were. However, if you cannot do stairs there are 3 to the front door and about 5 to the lift. Genoa itself is not very disabled friendly around the streets. This is because it is such an historic town and a lot of streets are not suitable for wheelchairs or scooters. They can also be very steep.

Exceptional

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at The Terrace. The place is spacious, clean, and very comfortable with lots of history. Its Terrace is great for having a meal or winding down after a long day out. Location is excellent with shopping centre and restaurants in close proximity . Alessandro is a great host, very responsive, helpful, and informative. Thanks Alessandro for booking us the taxi and giving us all the tips about Genoa and beyond. Highly recommended and will come back again.

Great location, and a host who went the extra mile!

The location is excellent - 10-15 minutes walk from central Genoa and many attractions. A spacious apartment with a large terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast/dinner/aperitif! Useful awning for the morning sun. Beds are comfy. Our host Alessandro met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. He went the extra mile after our departure as we lost a hearing aid halfway through the stay, thought it was gone for good until Alessandro sent us a picture of it on WhatsApp, asking ‘Is this yours?’ Thanks for sending it on to us, Alessandro!

No air con in second bedroom, but there is a fan, and to be fair, sleeping was not a problem on the comfortable beds.

Lovely flat to enjoy city life in Genova, right near the action but tranquil and restful.

The Terrace obviously has a great terrace, it is spacious and looks across the city rooftops, perfect place for a sunny breakfast or aperativi. The building has a very welcome lift, after walking hilly Genova, and the flat is cool and spacious. The location is great, just north of the old town, near Via Garibaldi and Villetta di Negro park, in a quiet neighbourhood with restaurants, bars and cafes. The

Lovely flat, lovely owner, lovely stay.

We were welcomed by Alessandro, the owner with great warmth and lively and intelligent conversation. He showed us around his lovely flat and was readily contactable by phone if we needed anything. The flat is spacious, very light and furnished as if it was still a family home. It is on the top (5th) floor and the kitchen opens onto a rooftop terrace with a wonderful view over the city of Genoa and the harbour. We were lucky to have come in the early spring so we were able to have our breakfast on the terrace among the lemon trees. The bed was so comfortable. Although the flat is on the 5th floor, you don't have to climb the stairs - there is a lift. It is in a quiet quarter off the main avenue but very close to the Piazza Corvetto at the top of Via Roma, just 10 mns walk from the Opera House. There are shops close by in the little Piazza and a Carrefour City minimart very well stocked just outside on the corner by the English Church. To get there the closest railway station is Genova BRIGNOLE which is just 20 mns walk but you may prefer a short taxi ride to save wheeling suitcases along the cobbly pavement (sidewalk). For a day out, we recommend taking the train along the beautiful coast to Camoglie and Portofino even just for the ride.

Great Stay & highly recommend!

The location was great - centre of town so everything was in close distance to the apartment. There was also a supermarket next to the apartment which was super convenient! The view from the terrace was amazing, we really enjoyed eating breakfast outside! Alessandro was very helpful in guiding us & booking us a taxi whenever we needed it :) The whole process of checking in & out went smoothly as Priya was already at the flat before we arrived to hand over the keys. I would definitely recommend this to everyone looking to visit Genoa as we had a great stay.

The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Both too firm for our liking. Also, the sofas at the entrance were also not very comfortable for the same reason so we spent most our time sat on the beds instead when we were in the apartment. Other than this, I cannot really fault this place in any way.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful traditional building.

A lovely traditional apartment within easywalking distance of the centre. We loved the high ceilings and traditional furnishings and accessories. Alessandro was such a great help to us, waiting to meet us after our flight was two hours late and booking a taxi to the station for us. A perfect city break. Thank you Alessandro!😊

Great stay for few days and amazing apartment.

Fabulous apartment with everything needed - Terrace absolutely fabulous and good sun trap -visited by blackbirds , green parrots and of course the pigeons. Central to everywhere - Alessandro was a marvellous host and gave lots of good tips. very homely and traditional. The apartment is definitely worth booking if it’s available :-) Thank you for a great stay in your family home.

Superb location a short stroll to the centre, surrounded by local amenities such as shops, bars and restaurants yet still quiet. Really good sized to large apartment, plenty of space for 3 of us and would easily fit 4 or more in. The terrace overlooks the local area and is of a very good size, in the summer I suspect that this is all that would be used.

The kitchen seemed to have an odd set of equipment, blunt knives, almost all plates chipped. Only one socket in the kitchen worked and that one was pretty dodgy. The TV should have been bigger for the size of the lounge area. I didn't like paying the "city tax"in cash on departure.

An old apartment full of character added to by tasteful furnishing with antique furniture, and book shelves with real books. Very clean. Excellent assistance and helpful advice from Alessandro. Great location.

The property had a lovely view over the city, it was well-located and convenient, and the size of the apartment was amazing. It really was an apartment that could be used as a base for a family visiting with all the items you would need to cook dinner or just sit around and read if you need a break from site seeing.

Très bonne option

Evidemment, la terrasse ! L'appart est bien situé, la cuisine bien équipée. La literie de la grande chambre était top. Les échanges simples et clairs avec Alessandro, le tout à distance. Le parking surveillé à 100m de l'appart (25euros/jour). L'ascenseur pour accéder à l'appart, situé au dernier étage.

La grande télé connectée est dans la grande chambre, n'en laissant qu'une toute petite dans le salon. Celui-ci n'est pas très convivial, on n'y 'chill' pas, et donc on a vite tendance à se retrouver chacun dans sa chambre en cas de journée pluvieuse.

Herrlich, traumhaft und wunderschön.

Die komplette Unterkunft war sehr schön und groß. Besonders die Terrasse haben wir sehr genossen. Von der Unterkunft ist man schnell in der wunderschönen Altstadt. Zu empfehlen ist ein kleiner Park gleich ums Eck.
