The Mussel House

A truly amazing restaurant and lovely friendly waiting staff. A fabulous dining experience, every meal was delicious. Our little hut was perfect for what we wanted a peace and comfortable stay next to restaurant.

Minimalist, clean and spacious.

Breakfast time was too late and limited (one option given only). They served from 9:30 am so if you are headed on a tour early morning or plan to leave early you miss breakfast.

Our cottages (we rented 3 next to each other ) had the best view over the lake and the mountains at the other side. The cottages are really very nice and large enough to accommodate 2-3 people. There is no kitchen in the cottage, but that is made up by the restaurant where they serve great breakfast and dinner. Of course there is a fridge to store your own drinks. The reception was extremely friendly and we were able to leave our luggage early so we could visit the archeological park of Butrint.

Maybe the fact that the cottages are relatively close together. We were lucky to almost be the only guests at the park and had a very quiet stay, but if it is sold out there might be more noise.

Lovely peaceful location, need a car to get to Ksamil as otherwise it's a 30min walk along a dark, steep road there and back.

cabin needed a bit more to make it so much better, such as lighting, coffee/tea, clean towels, TV that worked, it was darky lit, we stayed 3 nights and towels were never changed or bathroom cleaned, housekeeping just came in and made our bed!? Breakfast was basic but adequate, sheerness when we asked for a coffee top up we got charged.
