The Mussel House

I had a wonderful stay at Mussle House and really enjoyed the experience of staying in one of the wooden cabins. The whole place has such a unique atmosphere surrounded by nature, with incredibly fresh and clean air. What I especially appreciated was how peaceful it was at night. Even though there were quite a lot of guests, the management clearly makes an effort to keep the property quiet at night, so you can genuinely relax and get a good night’s sleep in the fresh air. The cabins are comfortable overall and feel especially suitable for families. I was travelling with a colleague, so we had one regular bed and one bunk bed, and I ended up sleeping on the bunk bed — which actually brought back some childhood memories and made me smile. 😊 The whole property feels almost like a little open-air zoo in the best possible way — cats wandering around, ponies, and lots of nature everywhere. It gives the place a very special and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant service was excellent, and the food was really good. The mussels were definitely one of my favourites, which makes perfect sense given that Muscle House is located on a huge lake and has its own mussel farm. Overall, it’s a very pleasant and unique place to stay. But what impressed me most was the level of service — the staff and management genuinely make an effort to make guests feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend Muscle House and would happily come back again.

The only thing I would improve is the lighting in the cabins. It was a little too dim, especially in the bathroom. I would make the lighting brighter to make the space feel more comfortable and practical. Other than that, everything was simply perfect.

We liked the location and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice and attentive. The kids liked the cats and the pony. The location is beautiful - if you stay here you need a car as there’s nothing to do bar the restaurant. There’s a lot of fruit trees.

The steps are quite dangerous and the food wasn’t as good as expected. There were kettles in our rooms but they didn’t work and there weren’t any cups if they did work. The dogs in cages. The fruit trees need pruning as they have big thorns and it can be difficult to navigate

Very good location between Ksamil and Saranda. Nice bungalow.

The shower cabin was broken. Difficult to close

Lovely peaceful location, need a car to get to Ksamil as otherwise it's a 30min walk along a dark, steep road there and back.

cabin needed a bit more to make it so much better, such as lighting, coffee/tea, clean towels, TV that worked, it was darky lit, we stayed 3 nights and towels were never changed or bathroom cleaned, housekeeping just came in and made our bed!? Breakfast was basic but adequate, sheerness when we asked for a coffee top up we got charged.
