The property is very close to the road and offers free roadside parking. Overall, my stay was far from pleasant. Towels were not available upon arrival and were only provided the next day, and quite late. We experienced a power outage that was initially fixed, but the next morning there was no power in the sockets. Attempts to contact the host by phone and text were unsuccessful, as there was no response. The bathroom was flooding, making the toilet unusable, and there was no warm water. We also ran out of battery and had no heating, leaving us to spend the night in a cold apartment. Due to these issues, we had to cut our stay short and leave a day early. The host never followed up or explained what happened. Very bad experience; book this property forewarned.

Satisfactory stay

Location was easy access to get around by car. WiFi and the streaming was great. Heating was good and kept us warm. Complimentary coffee and sugar. Place felt safe and secure.

There wasn't enough loo roll for even 1 person for 1 day. We had 4 people for 2 days. We did not get response from the host when queried. No mat/mop for the bathroom and it got quiet messy. Pillows were so lumpy and kept sliding off the bed. It was quiet noisy to sleep with the back of the restaurant at the bedroom window.

Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the property, the number of maintenance and cleanliness issues made o

The sofas were comfortable. It took a a little while to figure out how to use the TV, but we got there in the end. It was nice having a separate dining area of a table and chairs to eat at. The fridge was a good size, and the blinds were a nice touch.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with the property. There was mould in the shower, and the shower pipe was broken, causing water to squirt out at the bottom. The shower head also wouldn’t stay at a higher height as it kept sliding down. Every time the shower was used, hands were washed, or the toilet was flushed, there was a very strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The toilet seat was crooked, which felt unhygienic and unsafe. In the kitchen, there were no handles on the cupboards, and there was no iron or ironing board provided. There was also a brown stain on the living room floor. Both mattresses and the pillows had a lot of visible stains, which was very off-putting and made us uncomfortable. On the morning of checkout, the electricity was cut off at 9:25 am, even though checkout was not until between 10 and 11 am. We contacted the property owner, who said she was in London and would speak to her son, but the power was not restored and no one contacted us afterwards.

The dog shit right outside the door by the tree, my son stood on it and came all the way inside, it smelled really bad. Realised the floors weren’t that clean and the dishes all had stains on them.

Tv programs. The fact that there were kitchen supplies. The bathroom was fairly clean. Microwave, oven, stove, fridge, closet.

It seemed in the description of the apartment that there were two bathrooms and one extra bed, wasn’t the case. The kitchen supplies weren’t the cleanest. The bedsheets were dirty. The floor was burnt in several spots.

Quirky little property, fully functional kitchen, great sized rooms & perfect location.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but wee side note to owners. Maybe make a wee note saying how to actually get to property. I spent 30mins walking past the property as there were no signs. Eventually had to phone the owner for support.

The apartment was clean and tidy. Everything was available. Great location. Easy access to buses.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and unfortunately, one of the nights there was a major power cut. It was not resolved until the following morning, which caused several problems: no electricity to charge our phones, no internet, and no working gas or utilities. This meant we had to go to bed without eating. On top of that, the toilets were blocked, giving off an unpleasant smell, and there was no hot water in the bathroom. The most disappointing part was that no one responded to us during the night when we needed help. Although things were corrected on the following days, the first night was very tough and uncomfortable.

Looks like property hasn’t been hoovered, mopped, wiped for weeks, floor was full of dust, window ledges where dirty, spiders and spider web in every corner of the whole property, so much rubbished swapped under the beds and sofas, the place was filthy, never in my life have I seen such a filthy place like this, basic necessities were provided.

Poppy, the host was so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. She even left a pot outside for cigarette butts! I think when you write a review you need to remember how much you paid. This worked out at 63.60 a night for me and my business partner, an absolute steal. Everyone was so friendly, the chinese takeaway around the corner was amazing, all cooked in front of you and fresh and the pub over the road was great. Thanks Poppy xx

Nice cosy apartment with good access to shops nearby. Poppy was very helpful and accommodated a late check out when we had problems with transport. Nice little communal patio by the door with a very pretty cat also!

Value for money, clean and safe. Great for a short stay.

Safe location, tucked away behind a locked gate near a shopping centre and with another flat above. On-street parking available right outside and when we found some consumables were missing, the host promptly delivered much more than we needed for the duration of our stay. It got a bit cold at night/in the morning but excellent heating provided. The full kitchen and small living room were great and overall great value for money for accomodation in Birmingham.

It was a little on the small side, the living room became a bit of a luggage storage zone over the 5 days we were there. Due to the proximity to shops and a main road it could get a bit noisy throughout the day and there wasn't much ventilation, especially in the bathroom. The shower was a bit wonky but we were able to make it work and as mentioned, some consumables were missing but that was quickly fixed. Don't park on the second tree down the road unless you're willing to wake up to a car covered in bird poop! The other trees are fine though.

Beds extremely comfy, nice size for 3 of us. Kitchen facilities and shower was brilliant. Social Club/Pub over the road is cheap & ran by great staff.

Not clean at all. our feet were black within minutes of walking so we wore socks the whole time. Hairs in the beds and on the floor (long dark ones - we are both blonde so definitely not ours). Apartment smelt like it had been smoked in at some point. not a nice smell. went to use the freezer, decided not to (see picture). Mouldy shower. couldn’t use TV as batteries not working in remote. Tried contacting owner but no response whatsoever. I had assumed previous reviews about the cleanliness were just fussy people, definitely not so! Also only one knife so we couldn’t eat a meal without going cutlery shopping first! there were baby toys and food just under the edge of the sofa. You could run your finger along the back and leave a dust mark. No idea when the windows were last cleaned (again, see photo).

The place was dirty when I got there like it had been cleaned. The toilet has been flushed. paid £100 deposit and when I tried to contact them back to get my deposit back they did not respond so I had to go through booking.com to get my deposit back. Truly and utterly a disgrace.

Awful place shouldn't be allowed to let under its current conditions - no excuse for bad hygiene

The heaters worked well

No toilet roll or towels ! Host informed me due to COVID no towels supplied but bedding was ! how does that make sense ? apparently it was clearly stated at time of booking ? I never saw that ! Had to buy towels so we could shower , but that was a worry as there was thick black mould around the shower tray edge ! The fridge freezer and oven filthy , generally the whole property was dirty and tired . Only one knife and that was a cutlery knife . One bed had a thin 4.5 tog duvet not suitable for winter , my colleague slept in her clothes . The entrance was via a patio door with a simple patio lock, easy to break into feeling very insecure. The property £63 a night reasonable but not cheap - you get what you pay for but there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness especially under the current COVID circumstances, especially when the host is referring to COVID restrictions about towels , it clearly goes no further than that as proof in the grubby dirty conditions . I just want somewhere decent to sleep after a hard day setting up a trade show at NEC ! we didn’t get any comfort from this property and felt worse for staying there ☹️ Needs a deep clean and a lick of fresh paint - oh yes ..... toilet roll be good and bath towels !

I am a disappointed guest

The owner was incommunicado all through my stay…No Wi Fi password….we asked for everything,she didn’t reply until the day we were supposed to leave.

The cold was too much…Heater wasn’t working…we had to buy a heater to keep us warm.
