Riad Las Mil y una Noches 1 Tetuan

The hotel is in a great location within the medina. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and we were welcomed with tea upon arrival. The riad is beautifully designed and, thanks to the closable windows, much quieter than most riads tend to be. Breakfast was good, and we especially appreciated the selection of pillows available.

Breakfast could be improved by offering a wider selection (for example, fruit) and larger portions (more bread and eggs). The shower had mold and did not feel very clean, and the towels were stained. There was a kettle in the room, but only one tea bag was provided. We would have appreciated a greater selection or at least a few more tea options.

The room I was staying in was a bit outdated in terms of facilities and interior but had everything I needed. The Riad itself had a great traditional decoration and design with big roof terrace and views

While staff were wonderfully kind and helpful, the location good, the riad clean and beautifully decorated, there were some serious deficiencies.  We had a very enjoyable cooking class and really appreciated how it was done.

Our room seems to have been sandwiched between two floors, so the ceiling was very low, making a small room even smaller. The "courtyard view" was through a tiny window near the floor. Hot water ran out after 8:00 am, so you needed to be an early riser to get a hot shower. Breakfast was disappointing - none of the freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly pressed almond and peanut butter, fruit or freshly made coffee we'd grown accustomed to in our 5 weeks of traveling through Morocco.  And no night staff, so when guests decide to keep partying in the common area past 11:00 pm at night, there is no one to tell them to quiet down (our entreaties didn't work). There was a TV in our room, but no programming. Our poor host was run off his feet, so the hotel really needs to hire additional staff to help with check in and check outs and the day to day needs of guests
