The Coach House Apartment at Cefn Tilla Court, Usk

Private, beautiful setting, great space, easy access, great value, loved the hot tub.

The coach house is very comfortable in a lovely location. Well heated, nice furnishings, comfy bed. Brilliant hot tub that's really warm and private.

I'm loathe to moan but we found the communication to be weak. We tried a number of times to contact in advance and didn't manage to get an answer or a response to phone messages left. On the first morning of our stay we had a couple of issues - glass on the floor around the hottub(we were incredibly lucky we didn't get any in our feet when we used it the previous night on arrival) which we wanted to be cleared, and the light in our bathroom didn't work. (Plus shelves in fridge door missing which left nowhere for bottles, milk etc. Again advised to call the main number or try in the reception between 9 and 4.30. We left a message and dropped into reception.... No sign of anyone and no response to our messages. We still haven't had a response. We didn't call the emergency response as didn't think it was required... But we had followed the info booklet. There was also really poor signage for the bins (bumped into another guest who was also searching for bins on departure) & woodshed. A shame as the actual accommodation and location is lovely.

It was lovely! Possibly could have had a few more different genes/ratings to choose from with the DVDs but that’s nitpicking. It was great there were any at all!

no management on site. Steep steps to apartment which was sparsely equipped with kitchen items. Oven needed a clean, dishwasher did not work, Light in en suite not working and broken window pane in bedroom. No one to report these issues to and no one picked up phone. Left message at unmanned reception desk but no one contacted us during stay.
