Panos Apartment Parikia

Everything was perfect! The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The jacuzzi on the terrace was amazing, and the view of Parikia was simply stunning. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available. Great location — close to the port, shops, and restaurants.

Honestly, nothing! Everything exceeded our expectations.

Bright airy space, freshly painted. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Small but sunny balcony. Good full-sized fridge. Good small clothes washer (no washing powder provided). Good view of the mountain. Free collection from the ferry.

Unfortunately, the property was not as described, both as to its location and its facilities. The property was situated above a window shop on a very busy road about 1.7 km northeast from the port. It is not at the location shown on the Booking.com site. The walk to the town was dangerous along this road, which for the large part had no footpath. It is very hard to believe that as stated on the Booking.com site, “this our guests' favorite part of Parikia, according to independent reviews”! You definitely need a car/scooter if you decide to stay here. The WiFi reception was weak except in one spot in the bedroom. The bedroom contained one double bed and one single bed, not two double beds as described on Booking.com. The kitchen was poorly equipped. There were no cutting knives, or even a cutting board and salad bowl when we arrived. They were supplied upon request. There was NO dishwasher although the description of the property said there was. Yes, there was a cleaning service, but it meant that dirty dishes had to be stacked up once used until the cleaner came. AND: There was no coffee machine: it was only supplied when asked for. There was only an iron: no ironing board. There was no clothes rack. There was no adaptor. There was no alarm clock. Only the bedroom was air conditioned. This meant that if more than two people were staying in the apartment, those using the sofa bed could not enjoy the air conditioning at night unless the bedroom door was kept open. The ‘dining table’ only had two chairs and the outside table only two chairs. The apartment was only really equipped for two adults. The oven came with no instructions and did not appear to work. The Jacuzzi came with no instructions but the owner started it on request on one occasion. As there was no instruction manual were unable to get it to work again. The ‘ocean view’ was just a ‘glimpse’! There was a good view of the busy road in front of the property…! There was no garden view.
