Il Belvedere

Very beautiful hotel by the Lake Como. Very clean and kindful staff! Restaurant is fantastic. Strong recommendation!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay here! The little village of Torno was so sweet and picturesque. The room was very spacious with a private terrace under cover but also with direct access to a communal terrace with sun loungers. Hotel is modern and clean. We dined at the hotel restaurant and their sister hotel restaurant and both were amazing. There is also a third very cheap but good restaurant in Torno (but that is all, no shop etc!).

We stayed for 5 nights so it wasn’t an issue for us, but if you’re only staying for a short period and want to explore other villages, be aware that ferry’s don’t run too often and take 2 hours to reach Varenna/Bellagio. We loved that Torno was quieter and less touristy than the busy parts of the lake.

Great location with great restaurants within easy reach. Being right on the water gave spectacular views but also felt very exclusive and peaceful. Having the ferry dock literally right next to the hotel made day trips and travel simple. The room was amazing with a private balcony overlooking the lake but also easy access to communal sun terrace. The hotel staff were all super friendly and made the stay very enjoyable.

The breakfast was awful. No good restaurants near the hotel. And the elevator was very slow. Before telling people to use it, consider asking them whether they are claustrophobic.
