Evi Rooms Ljubljana

After I read the reviews about the place I didn't really have high expectations but the other hotels were fully booked or super overpriced in the city so I decided to give it a try. And it surprised me, the place is not as bad as the reviews say. The bedroom was big enough, the bed was maybe Queen size and it was pretty comfortable for my boyfriend and I, it also had a desk and a chair and the window was a ceiling window so no much view but really and truly we didn't need it since we woke up, left in the morning and came back at night time only to sleep. There was some type of space to hang cloths and like 3 hangers so we keep our cloth in our luggage. The bathroom had a normal size, the shower was rather small but enough, hot water was working fine. We found the place pretty clean, and the AC unit was working ok, it was just a bit noisy. Is definitely not a Fancy place but if you are okay with a super simple place, at a super good price and very well located (15 min walking from the city center or like 5 in scooter), you will be ok with this place. Also totally contactless but the instructions were clear so we never had a problem. In case we needed something, we would send a message via booking.com and they would reply fast.

The walls were very thin and you can hear when people opened and close their rooms, that was a bit loud. Also the AC unit was loud. But those things were manageable as we were in the room just few hours to sleep. The only bad thing was a particular smell from the bathroom, not sure what was it, we had to keep the window open during the day so when we arrived at bight was gone, but it was also manageable. Another thing I didn't like is that you have to download an app to do check in and pay some extra taxes that on the payment in booking is mention that are included. They were not too expensive but is still annoying when is not clear that, they should just include them on the booking.com price and avoid the discomfort of the people. And they charged also 200EUR deposit, which is not a common practice on Booking.com, that should be checked by them as well. The good thing is that they refunded rather quick, after 72hrs from check out.

Got here during brutal heatwave and that AC unit definitely saved our days(mostly nights) spent here. Like that near aparts we had different grocery stores.

Some work with cleanliness of towels and apartments and hall in general will make this much better place.

Room is small but enough for two persons , well located and clean

It would be nice to have at least a coffee maker with coffee to prepare it, especially if you have a long flight very late at night.

It was right next to Lidl

There was a 40€ mandatory fee which wasn't mentioned before booking the room. The shower water temperature is unstable. There wasn't any trash cans available other than in the bathroom.
