About this apartment rental
Built on the side of a ravine with amazing uninterrupted views of the coast and Mount Teide, this tranquil setting offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The apartment has its own private garden and terrace with stunning views and has just been completely renovated with a new kitchen which has new saucepans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils so you can make yourself completely at home and cook your favourite dishes. The fully tiled bathroom is also new with towels provided, and there is a comfy sofa bed for a 3rd adult or child.
There is a separate terrace which has a natural stone pool, shower and WC. Along side the pool is a wood burning pizza oven, separate barbeque and kitchen where you can relax and share the facilities with other guests. There are beautiful gardens with flowers and fountains, and the apartment overlooks our own vineyard and neighboring banana plantation.
There are 2 other apartments LA FUENTE property 8927243, and Los Cernicolas property 10356681 at the same location so that friends and families can enjoy a holiday and the shared facilities together.
We are a 10 minute walk to shops bars and restaurants and the TF5 where buses can be caught for Puerto, Icod, Garachico, San Marcos, Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos, and Playa de las Américas.
The local attractions include Punta de Juan Centellas at the end of the road where there is a natural pool and the locals fish. San Marcos is 3.8 miles away with its beach and small harbour with bars and restaurants serving locally caught fish. Charco del Viento is 4.3 miles away with it's natural pools for swimming and fishing it's a place of natural beauty. Cueva del Viento has the longest vulcanic lava trunnels in Europe and is a place of scientific interest 8 miles away.

We had a pleasant stay here. The apartment was equipped, we only missed the hair dryer. The hosts were kind and helpful. The weather seemed more cloudy during our stay than it was in the west coast.

The two hosts were very friendly and helpful. The flat was very well furnished. The location private and quiet. We were there without a car, which wasn't a problem as there was a shop a quarter of an hour away and a well frequented bus stop. However, the house is on a steep slope. You should therefore be reasonably fit. A few minutes down the slope there are impressive cliffs and the wild surf of the Atlantic to marvel at. Man mietet hier ein neu ausgebautes Studio (d.h. ein Raum mit Kochnische + durch Türe abgetrenntes Bad) in einer Finca. Es werden in der gleichen Finca 2 weitere Unterkünfte vermietet.
Positiv:
- wirklich neu und gut ausgebaut, insbesondere das Bad. Ich hatte noch nie auf den Kanaren so guten Wasserdruck und so warmes Wasser
- sehr schnelles Internet
- super schöner Garten mit wirklich schöner Aussicht
- frisches Obst und Gemüse von der Finca
- netter Vor-Ort Kontakt (nur spanisch)
Negativ:
- reine Nord-Ost Ausrichtung deshalb ab 13.30 keine Sonne mehr und kalt. Da dann auch noch der Wind immer von Osten kam war die Nutzung der Terrassen nicht möglich. (deshalb würden wir uns da nur noch im absoluten Hochsommer wieder einmieten).
- ein Tag war das elektr. Tor defekt (wir waren somit bis zum späten Nachmittag quasi eingesperrt). Darüber wurden wir nicht vom Vermieter sondern von den anderen Mietern informiert. Wäre das der Rückflugtag gewesen hätten wir den Flieger verpasst. Bei med. Notfall wäre da auch kein Arzt reingekommen. Techn. Defekte können passieren aber müssen kommuniziert werden (weshalb wir das nicht wieder mieten werden)
- wenn beide anderen Unterkünfte vermietet sind muss man Rückwärts durch die Autos der anderen Mieter fahren (links und rechts kaum Platz und das bei einer Steigung von mehr als 10%) und dann noch rückwärts auf die enge Straße die nicht einsichtig ist
- der Warmwasserbehälter ist im gleichen Raum wie das Bett und der macht rund um die Uhr laute Geräusche
- TV nur spanisch (kein Satelliten TV)
- Sonntag Morgen gabs immer Hubschrauberübungen des Rettungsdiensts in der Bucht (auch sehr laut)
