There was no breakfast - we took our own.
The woodburner, kindling and logs were great
There was no contact at all with the host or any other human being. It would have been nice of someone had visited to make sure everything was OK. We simply collected our keys from the key safe, and returned them at the end. But otherwise everything was excellent

Great location, cosy little cottage, lovely walks nearby, 2 very friendly pubs in the village & a very short walk to the station
Decor looking a bit dated, but for the price not really an issue!

Lovely little cottage with a gorgeous little river running past the front. Perfect for a meditative getaway 😊

Beautiful location, fabulous accommodation with extras by the hosts to really make you feel at home. Our little one loved the view of the goats from the bedroom window too!
Great spot for local walks and also for venturing further afield. Very comfortable and clean, highly reccomend

Lovely location very picturesque. Quiet and very easy to get to coastal walking path and to explore the area. Really loved having the wood burner!
Few cobwebs around the ceiling. Local pub no longer serving food, so the welcome book could do with an update. Otherwise everything was great!

Super little cottage, very cosy. The fire was made up ready for us to light with plenty of firewood. There is a dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely to hear the sound of the river to the front of the cottage.
We had dogs with us and the rear is a shared courtyard with all the other cottages therefore it is not secure to allow the dogs out unattended. However this is not the fault of the owner of the property.

cottage was so cosy, we went away during really cold weather and were very comfortable. We did 3 great walks whilst we were there, coastal, forest and the fell around Cathedral cave, so access to varied countryside. we don't have a log fire at home, so enjoyed the one here!!!
There is not much to say here! we had to cook meals at the cottage due to having a dog who is not good in crowds, so my only request would have been for 1 large frying pan.

The cottage was beautifully furnished and comfortable and the welcome pack was much appreciated. It was also a great location for amenities and will definately return as it was only a 10 minute drive to visit friends in Grange. It was also lovely to fall asleep listening to the river outside.
It took a while to get the place warm but not really a criticism as it is Winter and it is an old building. Also found fleas in the duvet but again, not the hosts fault as it is up to owners to de flea their dogs.

Very convenient that the key code was sent prior to arrival as I was able to jot it down beforehand as my phone / email reception is not good in the area to reference any correspondence on the day of arrival.

A cosy well presented cottage, with most things you need.
Seemed to be no control for the heating that worked, short of turning the boiler, at times it was far too hot, irrespective of the thermostat setting.
Could do with a pizza cutter.

A cosy, well-equipped cottage. A lovely log burner and fruit, wine, milk, cake and chocolates left on our arrival. Great location - a lovely walk to Holker Hall and short drive to Cartmel and Grange over Sands.

It was self catering- breakfast not supplied
The living room radiator did not appear to have a valve to turn it down, so the room was very hot. The door between the living room and kitchen was impossible to shut as it sticks very badly.

The cottage was in a perfect middle ground 5 min walk to station 10 min walk to town, pub attached to the road the cottage is on
You could feel the bed springs but that’s me being picky

The cottage was beautiful. Loved the log fire. Everything you could need was provided. Thanks for the complimentary items cake wine fruit, much appreciated.
The views from the cottage and the surrounding areas were like something from a picture book. The pub and shops nearby were lovely and handy to have more or less on your doorstep.
We shall definitely be returning again.
Wonderful.
Nothing all was great.

Exceptionally good value. Very quaint cosy location with comfortable accommodation. Perfectly cited for exploring the southern lakes and coast but just say of the main holiday areas and all the traffic.
Plenty of things to do within a short drive/walk.
Barking dogs up the road and one of the pubs in the village has closed.
Both obviously outside the control of the owner who has done everything possible to make stay enjoyable.

Cosy, home from home. And the owners even left me a cake.
Parking is on the street across a stream which is quite cute but some people would find inconvenient.

The cottage was perfect for our young family. Very nicely decorated and location is just beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised with the homemade cakes (which my 18 month old daughter loved), the fresh fruit, milk and chocolates that were left for us

Beautiful, quaint cottage in a really scenic location, pub and local shop on your doorstep so you don’t want for anything. The front bedroom overlooks a stream (lovely to hear in bed) and the back bedroom looks towards grazing sheep and goats. Real escape to the country kind of place!
There were the odd dog hairs in the cottage (as is to be expected with dogs visiting). We also struggled to get the television working which meant we played some board games (plenty on offer) and we had a nice night in on the first night.
