About this house rental
Ideal family-friendly summer retreat or winter long weekender, this tranquil getaway is perfectly poised between the back beach and the bay, with just a pleasant 800m stroll into Sorrento town and it's cafés, restaurants and shops. The house features open plan living with loads of natural light and cosy fireplace perfect for wintry nights. There is a TV, DVD and stereo. A tranquil upstairs accommodation zone comprises 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (with bath). The main bedroom has a small adjoining balcony and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom includes a Queen bed and is next to the main bathroom. The third bedroom is large and includes bunk beds, a TV and DVD player - it's ideal as a kids' playroom. Games, puzzles and a video gaming console are available to keep them entertained all year long.
Outside, a large deck suited for entertaining looks out on to a large landscaped backyard filled with agapanthus, ti-trees, and many Australian native plants. There is an adventure play set in the backyard for the kids that has a slide, swings and monkey bars. On the deck is a BBQ and outdoor shower for getting rid of the sand after a fun day at the beach.
This well equipped house is particularly suited to long stays of a week or more. The European-style laundry includes a front-loading clothes washer and dryer to make your stay more comfortable.
Bookings are a minimum of two nights, except peak season and long weekends. Generous discounts are available for weekly bookings (except Peak Season). Please enquire about these. Over New Year's Eve and other peak periods, we will prioritise guests who wish to book longer stays (ie more than a week).
Peak season bookings are 7 nights minimum. We encourage long-term off-peak stays and can provide very reasonable rates - just ask.

The house comfortably accommodates 8 overnight guests.
All beds come with linen, doonas, pillows, and mattress protectors. Bath towels are also provided.

We were in town for work, it was the perfect base to relax and recharge. The house had everything we needed, quiet street, short walk to the Main Street which was really handy. Thank you for having us, would highly recommend.

This house was by far the best holiday house we've had on the mornington for the past 5 years - and we'll be back. We travel their annually to see family and are always having problem with dark houses that aren't clean. This one was the opposite! Lots of light, perfectly set up for children and clean as a whistle. Convenient location and the sundrenched back deck saved us on the cold days!

We strongly recommend this place, just perfect for a getaway at the beach. Beautiful property, with a sense of peace, tranquility, and gracious living. Well located, between the front beach and the back beach. The house is really clean, really well set up, with everything needed. The kids playground was a big hit for the children, and so many different toys to keep them entertained... We had a fantastic weekend.

My family had a wonderful Easter at Coastal Calm. Gorgeous house with a beautiful garden made it very special for our little one's first Easter egg hunt. Location was fabulous as was the communication with the owners. We had beautiful autumn weather which meant we could enjoy a cosy fire at night. This house is extremely child friendly which helps make the stay even more enjoyable and stress free! We most definitely will stay here again. Adored it. Oh and the house was immaculate!
