About this house rental

Some homes have soul, and this is one of them. A beautifully renovated classic Sorrento weatherboard cottage sitting pride of place on Sorrento's iconic main street, Ocean Beach Road is the kind of holiday home that instantly feels like a retreat — full of character, warmth and everything you need to switch off and settle in.

From the moment you step onto the classic front veranda and push open the stained-glass front door, the charm is undeniable. A long, light-filled hallway with polished Baltic pine floors, decorative pendant lighting and crisp white walls sets the tone — heritage bones meeting a fresh, contemporary fit-out that feels effortlessly relaxed.

At the heart of the home, the generous open-plan living with split system heating/air conditioning, dining and kitchen zone is made for gathering. The beautifully appointed kitchen — white cabinetry with warm timber benchtops, a sage green subway tile splashback, rattan pendant lights and all the appliances you need including a dishwasher and integrated washing machine.

The dining area flows seamlessly out to an expansive north-facing deck — a sun-soaked entertainer's haven enclosed by a lush, manicured hedge for privacy. Pull up a chair, pour a glass, and let the afternoon drift by.

Sleeping up to ten with ease, the home offers four well-appointed bedrooms across a range of configurations — a master with an original painted brick fireplace, built-in robes and its own ensuite; a twin room and a queen with built-in storage; and a fun bunk room with double bunks and a single that the kids will love. The master ensuite is particularly impressive — floor-to-ceiling sage mosaic tiles, matte black fixtures, a double vanity and a rainfall shower. A separate family bathroom services the remaining bedrooms.

Original polished pine floors, board-and-batten wall panelling, split-system air conditioning and thoughtful touches at every turn make this a home that truly delivers on comfort without sacrificing character.

And the location? Simply unbeatable. Step straight out the front door and you're in the middle of Sorrento Village — the cafés, restaurants, boutiques and bars of Ocean Beach Road are all at your doorstep. The Back Beach is a short stroll in one direction, the calm waters of the Bay in the other. This is the Peninsula at its very best, and you're right in the thick of it.
