In Belém you will find one of the city's most famous revelers, Santini, the famous factory of cream pastries and beer pastries.
THE NEXT AIS BEACHES
Access to the beaches of Carcavelos, Estoril and Cascais is easy and shaven is there is direct train connection. To visit the parades of Caparica, you can take the boat in Belém to Trafaria and then bike or take a bus to S. João da Caparica.

We had a wonderful time in this apartment. Located in Belém the area was quiet and easily accessible to Lisbon. The apartment was clean and well equipped. It is an old small building but had lots of character. The bedroom bed was very comfy, crisp clean bedding. Our daughter said the mezzanine floor room was very comfortable. The apartment is very true to the photos listed. The host Elsa was a dream. Amazing communication and so helpful with places to visit and eat in and out of Lisbon. Highly recommended this wonderful apartment for a city break.

Trying to figure out how to review this was incredibly awkward. I'd say, to all those who are professionals in their mid-30s and above looking to stay somewhere short-term, go for it. The surrounding location is beautiful, so warm and inviting.
Though, if you're looking to stay long-term and you're not solo I'd perhaps give it a pass. Arguably, there's a lot of sleeping space (makeshift 'bed', sofa bed and an actual double bed) but there is only one actual bedroom - so the listing is a little off. Despite the old photos listed, the newer ones are completely and utterly accurate. It's sad to think that despite the beauty, communication with the host was very difficult about several things and felt quite personal when things like 'culture' were brought up in regard to a glass of water being left on a bedside table.
Things can get awkward very quickly, and despite wanting to keep the peace I would rather holidaymakers go where they're not burdened by surprise visits and threats that they're being 'watched' by other members of the building the host knew personally.
It's all very odd - but I'd summarise by saying definitely stay in Belem but perhaps not here if you're a POC, in a group, a couple or just young.
