Glanwye

THE LOCATION WAS EXCEPTIONAL, THE HOST I MET WAS JOE AND HE WAS LOVELY, WE HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME AND THE LOCATION WAS ONLY A 15 MINUTE WALK TO HAY ON WYE CENTRE. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE VISITING AGAIN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN HELP OUT ON THE FARM FOR A DAY AT OUR EXPENSE ( FINGERS CROSSED)

We had a wonderful stay at Glanwye the most beautiful barn on a peaceful organic farm near Hay-on-Wye. The setting is absolutely idyllic, with stunning countryside views from the balcony, fresh air, and complete tranquillity. The barn was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break, with an extremely comfortable bed. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the calm surroundings. The location is perfect for exploring Hay-on-Wye, the Black Mountains, and the Wye Valley, while still feeling wonderfully secluded. Although we stayed local and didn’t use our car and walked into Hay each day which was approximately 15 minutes, and just the break we needed. The farm itself adds to the charm, creating a genuine rural experience without compromising on comfort. The resident goats are very friendly and comical to watch, we even helped to feed the baby ones. The hosts were warm, extremely welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place. We have already booked for next year and look forward to returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Our hosts were very friendly and responded to our questions quickly via booking.com. The apartment was delightful and beautiful and had everything we needed and more. Upon arrival we found that our hosts had left us fresh eggs from their chickens, freshly baked bread from the bakery, delicious butter and fresh milk.

It was perfect!
