Japanese Machiya kanazawa private villa Asanogawa

There is everything to like about this property. It’s located in the Kazuemachi district, right along the river, under 10 minutes of a walk to Higayashi Chaya District, Omicho Market and Kanazawa Castle Park. It has so much history to it and the owner was accommodating and helpful. The ryoken is so comfortable and every amenity we needed was available. We got a chance to wash our traveled clothes in the combined washer and dryer. The mini split made the temperature and humidity of the ryoken just right, especially during these humid and rainy fall days.

歴史あるお宅に宿泊できてとても良い思い出ができました。 着物レンタルをした日は、部屋でも、部屋の前でも沢山の写真を撮らせていただきました。 部屋も清潔で、沢山おもてなしいただいたので、快適に過ごせました。 ご主人からおすすめのお店を教えていただいたり、たくさんお話し出来て楽しかったです。

Ganz außergewöhnlich; wir können uns den anderen Rezensionen nur anschließen! Morgens in einer Yukata auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf den Fluss einen Matcha Latte zu trinken, ist sicher eines der Erlebnisse unserer Japanreise, an das wir uns sehr gern erinnern werden. Herzlichen Dank an unseren überaus netten Gastgeber, dass wir in seinem kostbaren Haus wohnen durften!

Super friendly and accomodating host. Place feels historic and very much loved by the owner. It has everything for even an multi night stay. The best part of course was the view from the upper floor facing the river. It made it hard to leave the room to visit the city.

You can feel the house has been lived in, and though excellently cleaned and maintained with love, some aspects make you feel as if you are invading somebody else's house. For example you could see stairs and storage spaces which you are invited not to touch or go to, making the experience feel less private.
