Ryokan Yamamuro

We stayed in the Botan room, it was just lovely. Seemed very traditional, so spacious and a gorgeous garden outside. It was elegantly simple. The onsen was just the best!! Loved it. Bungo is such a nice man and wonderful host.

Nothing

Best place we have stayed in Japan so far ! (1 week travelling around Japan so 4 different hotels until this one). The location is Wonderful!! It is in the center of the city and close to all the main attractions. It is a family owned Ryokan. Both the owner and his mother are really welcoming and helpful. There are 2 normal showers and 1 japanese style bath in the basement, which can be reserved for your own use. The recommendation from the owner for the activities around are very good. We had a lovely time in Kanazawa so thanks a lot to Bungo-san !!

Nothing it was really a nice experience (2 nights)

Central location to everything and very well kept and traditional. The rooms were very nice with a sitting area and tea in the evenings. Our host was very helpful with directions and suggestions.

Everything was great: the hosts were very hospitable, the location and the room were excellent, and the onsen (bath) system was perfectly thought-out.
