Great location right on the beach

Great location, easy walk to the port and to town, directly on the beach, beautiful terrace over the sea for breakfast, and other meals and snacks.

We thought the servers were inconsistent. Our first day we had a delightful, cheerful, agreeable brunette server who served us aperitivi with a smile, so we returned for a nice dinner. The next morning we had our breakfast out on the same terrace, but the attendant behind the bar rarely smiled, seemed grumpy about serving us. Later we stopped in for aperitivi and sat on the terrace but after 15 minutes never were approached to serve us, as had happened the day before. We decided to skip dinner and aperitivi for the rest of our stay. Unfortunate. That attendant works hard, but if she smiled more she might enjoy her job more and make customers feel more welcome.

Wonderful Relaxing Paradise

The hotel is located on the beach with its beach chairs. My room had a balcony and I woke up to an amazing view every morning. It’s the perfect place for a getaway.

I didn’t like how thin and loud the doors to the rooms were, all I heard in the mornings were people in the hallway and doors slamming it was quite annoying. Another thing was that the WiFi did not reach the room. The only time I had WiFi was when I was sitting on the balcony or on the beach.

The location is AMAZING!! The bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in over the last 3 weeks of travelling - thank you. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.

Great location, makeshift infrastructure

It is truly right on the beach! Breakfast on the terrace with the sea lapping below, places to lounge on the beach and on the roof and it's not far from the old city and port. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

This property is like a Miami Beach motel from the 1970s. The bathroom was spartan, the shower was crusty. The walls were so paper thin, it was like sleeping in a cardboard box. The cleaners talking outside your door bright and early will make you feel like it's market day every day. I think it was a former "bagni" (daytime beach club) that got converted into a hotel and each room was actually a former cabana - which would explain the makeshift feeling. That being said, if you are just looking for the cheapest place with beachfront access, comfy bed and a place to wash up, this could work for you. I personally wouldn't go back, but I can see why it would work for other customers.

No fan nor any air conditioning. Room doors are deteriorating and couldn't lock without applying power. Great location right at the beach staff was good. This is a very chill establishment if you only plan to swim and need a place to lay your head. Very basic and covers what you need. Wifi is slow

The breakfast was limited and we had to pay for the beach chairs and umbrellas - it was a shock at the end of the holiday as we thought it was included as bookings said the hotel had a private beach and we were never told we had to pay for them until we checked out!

Sehr schön gelegen, direkt am Meer. Tolles Panorama zum frühstücken. Kleine Anlage. Für uns hat alles gepasst. Busbahnhof und Fährhafen fussläufig erreichbar. Ebenso die Stadt an sich. Nettes Personal. Sauber.

Posizione fantastica ma non ne vale la pena

L'unica cosa davvero positiva è la terrazza sul mare per la colazione. La posizione dell'hotel è perfetta, a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Portoferraio.

Il personale al bar non è stato per niente cordiale. Mai un buongiorno con un sorriso, espressioni "scocciate" e risposte per niente cortesi. Sembrava dessimo fastidio. La stanza era davvero angusta per 3 persone, il bagno non era molto pulito al nostro arrivo. La finestra in bagno è molto piccola e non circola aria, non c'è nessuno spazio per stendere costumi e asciugamani del mare. La finestra in camera è piccola e alta quindi la stanza è buia e difficile da arieggiare.

A 10 metri dalla più bella Spiaggia

Essere in quella spiaggia ed avere la camera a 10 metri dal mare era il motivo della mia prenotazione e ho avuto ragione. Check in e Check out veloce. Camera essenziale ma pulita. Le ragazze dell accoglienza gentili

Problematico il parcheggio condiviso con gli utenti della spiaggia. Secondo me , meglio a pagamento ma riservato. Personale del bar e del ristorante da migliorare nel umore, non é colpa mia se io sono in vacanza e tu lavori, Sorridi Grazie

Posizione da sogno sul mare limpido….

Posizione invidiabile sulla splendida spiaggia de Le Ghiaie e possibilità di fare colazione sulla terrazza sul mare. Parcheggio disponibile la mattina e la sera (ma in giornata non trovi più posto perché in uso da parte anche degli ospiti dei Bagni Elba). A piedi in 15 minuti sei nel centro di Portoferraio. La ragazza della reception top: sorridente e disponibile

Stanze da ristrutturare, bagno piccolo e muri intrisi di umidità. Ci vorrebbe uno stendino per asciugamani e un frigo in stanza. Ma la posizione fa dimenticare le pecche… dimenticavo: qualche sorriso in più a colazione non guasterebbe

Mare stupendo, struttura bella e accogliente…..relax!

Posizione top: mare a 5 metri dal balcone della camera, addormentarsi con lo sciabordio delle onde….impagabile. Gentilezza: tutto lo staff si é rivelato accogliente e gentile, soddisfacendo ogni nostra richiesta. Il titolare si é adoperato per farci un cambio stanza, peraltro senza che lo chiedessimo, per allontanarci da una coppia di ragazzi maleducati e chiassosi, incuranti del rispetto del luogo e altrui! Servizi scontati: il ristorante della struttura offre lo sconto del 10% agli ospiti dell’hotel; il noleggio kayak (peraltro trasparenti!!) offre uno sconto addirittura del 40%.

Se devo trovare per forza qualcosa, migliorerei le docce in camera e offrirei lettini e ombrelloni scontati agli ospiti dell’hotel. Sicuramente permetterebbe agli ospiti di non servirsi della limitrofa spiaggia privata e permetterebbe un introito maggiore all’hotel stesso.

Prezzo molto molto alto per una camera fatiscente “senza finestra” dove manca il frigorifero per non parlare del bagno “non finestrato” con poca luce la tavoletta rotta… Una doccia anni 70 con la tenda di plastica ed il soffione mal funzionante. La tv praticamente solo rai1. Fortunatamente il condizionatore funzionava, consiglio comunque di sanificarlo. Anche la colazione non a buffet un po’ misera sempre confrontata con il prezzo alto della camera.

Posizione ottima in pieno centro con parcheggio privato interno e a due passi dalla spiaggia. Receptionist gentilissima e camera molto accogliente.

Sul mare e con una cucina meravigliosa

La camera ha vista sul mare.. in ogni senso! Meravigliosa. Il piccolo terrazzino affaccia sulla spiaggia privata ed è letteralmente vista mare. Abbiamo preso il pranzo da asporto e mangiato sul terrazzino in una atmosfera meravigliosa. Unico neo: la scaletta che scende alla spiaggia passava proprio davanti al nostro balcone e tutti guardavano all'interno non lasciandoci molta privacy. Il ristorante dell'hotel è fantastico ed ha proposte carne, pesce e vegane davvero uniche ed a prezzi tutto sommati nella media della stagione e della località

La camera è un po' trascurata, il bagno necessita di una piccola ristrutturazione e manca la cassaforte in camera che mi avrebbe dato molta più serenità a lasciare i miei effetti in camera. La colazione ha poca scelta e, purtroppo, con la maggior parte di prodotti preconfezionati. Peccato. La struttura meriterebbe ben altro

vicino al mare e tutti cortesi, ma non accogliente come struttura

Lo staff, tutti ragazzi giovani, gentili e sorridenti, ma non possono fare piu' di tanto rispetto alla struttura che e' in ottima posizione, ma e' piu' uno stabilimento balneare che un albergo. I servizi basici come aria condizionata e asciugacapelli erano li'(niente frigo ovviamente) ma mi e' parso di dormire in una cabina balneare piu' che in una camera.

La camera che mi e' stata assegnata di passaggio aperto a tutti, con la porta di uno sgabuzzino, dietro una rimessa con accanto un deposito e la finestra su un fazzoletto di giardino incolto. Sarebbe anche una esperienza da poter ripetere, con un altro spirito e un altro approccio, ma non a 180 euro a notte a luglio, per quel prezzo mi aspettavo un albergo, come ne ho trovati di altri li' vicino.

Dormire con il suono del mare

Posizione top, la nostra camera aveva vista mare e dormire con il suono delle onde è bellissimo. La struttura è abbastanza comoda anche per essere raggiunta a piedi dal porto (circa 10 min). A differenza di altre recensioni che avevamo letto secondo noi la colazione è stata adeguata nelle quantità (2 cappuccini, 1 caffè, 2 succhi di arancia, 2 cornetti, 2 yogurt, frutta fresca, 2 toast e 1 pizzetta), inoltre dato che sono vegetariana Nadia al bar mi ha anche dato un'alternativa al toast prosciutto e formaggio proponendomi una pizzetta margherita. Inoltre colazione praticamente sul mare!

Come hanno scritto un pò tutti nelle altre recensioni le camere avrebbero bisogno di un restauro e consigliamo un piccolo frigo in camera che sarebbe molto comodo anche solo per tenere in fresco una bottiglia d'acqua. Per il tipo di camere il prezzo è eccessivo (160€ 1 notte), ma è chiaro che si paga la vista.

Una vera scoperta

La posizione perfetta (a pochissimi passi dal porto e su una delle più belle spiagge dell’isola), la terrazza mozzafiato sul mare dove servono la colazione, lo staff gentilissimo (sia dell’hotel che del ristorante). Complimenti anche per gli sconti dedicati ai clienti, sia al ristorante (dove si mangia davvero benissimo) che per altre attività da spiaggia. Non vediamo l’ora di tornarci, la prossima volta con la nostra canina visto che è davvero super pet friendly
