Castle of Himara

The property was extremely beautiful and the hosts were super sweet. The view from the rooms were absolutely insane and it’s located in the old town, which is so gorgeous.

I don’t recommend booking if you don’t have a car and even then it’s still quite a walk on bumpy roads to the apartment

We loved everything about this stay! - The views are genuinely some of the best we’ve seen! - The hosts were extremely generous and sweet to us and own a cafe on the property with amazing omelettes, salads and coffee. They’re so gorgeous! - The room itself was basic but for the excellent price it was everything we needed. The beds are firm but comfy and the aircon is powerful! - The area is lovely up high in the castle - it’s about a 10-15 minute rocky uphill walk from the castle carpark. Keep an eye out for the sweet gentleman selling delicious fresh fruit at the bottom, as well as stray kittens and maybe even a friendly donkey!

The walk up is not possible if you have mobility issues. I was struggling with my bags and the host did not offer to help which would have been a kind gesture to start the trip. You do not get internet connection in the rooms, for the price being charged, a WiFi extender would be an easy and cheap fix to the problem.

Great view, the ac in the room works well.

The room is a bit outdated and there is no noise isolation at all, the parking is public parking and a lot of times it's full. If you have heavy bags it will be a challenge to carry them in a 10 min walk uphill.
