South Hands

The view was really nice though the window looking across the city. The room was very compact and comfortable, and felt very safe inside. It was very clean and tidy. The air-conditioning was very welcomed after a very hot day. It had a fridge with mini bar if needed at extra cost,and the room was looked after every day. The owner was always on the other end of the phone making sure our needs where met. The train station was only a few mins away which was good to get to Pompeii. Bus stop too and from airport for small fee just outside the train station, 5 mins walk away from the room. Local shops near by for groceries. A good long walk through the city to get to the castle and harbour passing lots of nice shops and bars along the way. You could get a taxi to save your legs as it was a hour walk but nice surprise as bars and restaurants all round the castle at the sea front. The room was very quiet at night.

The area outside in the streets were really run down and rubbish everywhere. We did think there would be a balcony as seen on the picture but there wasn't one. But the view made up for that. The room was on the 13th floor and need to go in the old lift.

Didnt meet the host in person, but he was extremely responsive and helpful on line. View was absolutely spectacular - exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the main station on foot was good

The surrounding streets are not so great - seemed quite seedy. Did not feel safe for a single person to walk about at night time.

It’s close to Naples station and the room was clean. Guiseppe was helpful.

The area looks extremely shady. Further, the bnb is on the 13th floor and the lift needs a 10c coin to operate between 8am-8pm. We missed our train because of this (who has 10c coins on them in 2026). Definitely not a value for money option.
