COTO Tokyo Asakusa 5

We had a wonderful stay. The host was very friendly, responsive, and responsible throughout our stay. They even provided a high chair and a small step stool for our baby, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Tokyo Skytree. It’s a great place for families or small groups of 4–5 people.

The only small suggestion would be to improve the sound insulation in both bedrooms if possible, as traffic noise from the street can sometimes be noticeable in the morning. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

浅草線の押上駅から歩いて10分、道もシンプルで便利でした。家族大人4人でスーツケース5個なので部屋の広さは重要でしたが、ちゃんと2部屋あってダイニングテーブルもありました。設備も清潔でとても快適でした。

It was a quiet residential neighborhood, but also walkable to stores like 7 Eleven.

Because we walked all day, we wish we stayed a bit closer to the train station as we got quite tired. However, the walk was short enough to not warrant getting a taxi.

The space is very helpful when you are staying for a long time (we stayed almost a week) and need room to dry laundry. Two rooms and two toilets is a luxury for Japan

We were in Japan for 24 days and stayed in many places. This place had so many small things wrong with it. It’s very easy to fix these things. But it seems like the owners don’t care to try. The towels look stained and like they have been used for decades - so thin and worn. It’s super easy to fix this. They also smelled regardless of how many times we washed them or requested replacements. They are just old. The peeling wallpaper gives the place a derelict feel like no one cares beyond the absolute bare minimum. There are no basics to cook with in the kitchen like oil or salt. We should not have to buy these things. The pillows are so thin that I got severe back pain after one night that affected my whole week. The bed sheets and duvets, like the towels, just give off this old and worn feeling. I know this place is not meant to be luxury but having stayed in many humble places on our trip, this one felt really below par
