Comfortable well-equipped apartment in a nice town on the Meuse river

We had a very nice stay with our two children in this spacious, clean and well-organized apartment, with all relatively new furniture and beds. It had all we required, including a 4-person dining table, a well-equipped kitchen, and good seating area. A big bonus for us was the bakery at only 50m, open on most days except Wednesday (and even Sunday!) to get fresh bread for breakfast. The small town is nice. There are walks or visits (e.g. the citadel) that can be done directly from Givet, but also (by car at least) multiple nice places nearby. We were lucky with weather and it was even rather warm, but due to thick walls the apartment itself was rather cool. Most days we could park the car in the street, but otherwise it is just a 2-minute walk from a large parking, so this was not a problem.

Not so much, but maybe a few points of attention for the host for future guests: 1) we have not met our host, which is a bit unfortunate, although she reacted very accurately on any questions via chat, 2) we arrived on Sunday late afternoon and there was no toilet paper (although host excused for this and we found fortunately a small shop open still), 3) we had brought own sponges for doing dishes, but those present were rather worn out (make sure guests get reasonably fresh things), 4) although beds were comfortable, the 1.40m width is quite narrow for our liking for a double bed: the room has space to fit something slightly broader which would make the stay more pleasant, 5) it is great that there were some tourist folders, but some were quite old requiring first a filtering of what is useful; a clean-up (and/or getting up-to-date folders from tourist offices) could help the guests. However, these are minor points.

Modern, clean apartment in sleepy Givet. Great for 1 or 2 night stay.

A modern apartment with all the necessary equipment and facilities for a couple of nights. Smart TV so we could connect to Netflix in English (our French is limited!). Very comfortable beds. Very clean (newly converted flats). Pet friendly (although the host made us feel that the dogs were an issue when she arrived to let us in).

Host arrived late and we had no way of getting into the building. We were made to feel a little uncomfortable when the host saw our dogs, even though the listing states Pet Friendly. Bedroom had very high windows and now way of reaching the blinds to block out light overnight. Additional 4 euros requested for City Tax.

Geweldig

Het is een mooi en ruim appartement met 2 grote slaapkamers en een apart toilet, Comfortabele bank en goede keuken en veel ramen,ook blijft het lekker koel in het appartement Je moet wel traplopen want het ligt op de eerste verdieping. De locatie is perfect in een leuke stad met op een paar meter afstand een bakker en meerdere goede restaurants. Op Vrijdag is er een grote markt en op Zondag is er een brocantemarkt verderop in de stad en je zit vlakbij de Maas waar je eventueel een sloep kan huren. Wij konden parkeren in de straat anders is er vlakbij een parkeerplaats.

Wij vonden de bedden erg smal. Misschien is een ventilator handig als het erg warm wordt,
