Relaxing and carefree!

The owner was very helpful, polite, and welcoming. The room was big, comfortable, and clean. It was located at a very nice spot above the city, and had excellent views to the sea! I enjoyed my morning coffee at the little balcony and loaded on sunshine!

A great place to stay Hvar, with a nice host and amazing balconhy view over the town!

The loaction is nice if you don't mind a short walk up a hill from the city center, but with an amazing view over the town. During high season the city center can be quite noisy (from parties) during evenings and a bit into the night, but it was quite calm up at the property. The host was amazing, greeting us with all kind of information about the taxi boats, restaurants and where to go for beaches (including different price options). The room was clean, had comfy beds and nice balcony view. Felt like the host went above and beyond in hospitality, as the fridge had some complementary beer, each room had Netflix and we got a local wine bottle as a small wedding gift.

The property did not have any signs with the property name, so we had to guess that we've arrived to the right location.

The room and property was beautiful, the host was lovely to deal with and very accommodating, her husband even picked us up from the ferry terminal which we really appreciated! Great location with a beautiful view and a short walk to the centre.

A very pleasant home from home

The location was great and overlooked the old town, with fabulous views from the balcony. Marina gave us a full introduction at arrival to help with our itinerary and the room had everything we needed, including some complimentary gifts which was very kind. It was a few minutes walk from the nearest supermarket and in the opposite direction a few minutes to all the restaurants, bars and shops. There was also access to a kitchen area if you wanted to cook something yourself. We had been using the long sets of steps to get from the town up to the accommodation which was tiring - but on the second day we discovered a much easier route via a small road called ‘ulica matija ivanica’

The only issue was the wifi kept cutting out which was a problem for me (as my mobile data didn’t work in Hvar at all either).

Amazing stay! Would 100% recommend

Great location with beaches, supermarket and main town only a few minutes away. The room was comfortable, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and coffee. The hosts were lovely and took the time to discuss where to go, and explained local maps and public transport

Very friendly hosts, always available for additional information and advice. Cleanliness at the highest level. The location is excellent, very close to the city center and not far from the beaches. The hosts offer a free shuttle to one of the nearby islands. All in all for every recommendation.

Great Place to Stay in Hvar Town

We stayed at Vila Luka in early June 2025. Marina and her husband (and the cat) were all gracious, helpful hosts. They greeted us and helped us find the parking area (private parking behind the Vila), carried our luggage to the room, and offered homemade wine. Marina also gave us some very helpful tips and information on getting boats/visiting the nearby islands (Mlini, Jerolim, Planikovac, etc.). Later in the trip, following an unfortunate encounter with local wildlife (a sea urchin), Marina brought us vinegar and a basin so that my wife could soak her foot. The location was excellent – a short, peaceful walk (less than 10 minutes) downhill into Hvar Town…unfortunately, it’s uphill on the way back, but that’s the case anywhere outside of the center of town itself. The walk also provides a great viewpoint with the St. Mark’s Church tower in the foreground and the town center and port in the background. Hvar Town can get loud at night during peak season, so being away from the noise and commotion was greatly appreciated. The room itself was extremely quiet. Vila Luka is also a short walk from the trailhead to Tvrđava Fortica, which is definitely worth a visit. The room itself was spacious with A/C, a small refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We booked a Deluxe Room, which had a balcony from which we could see St. Mark’s Church, the town, and the sea.

Our only complaint about the room is that the vent in our bathroom happened to open onto one of our neighbors’ balconies, so if they were outside, you could hear them very clearly (and they could presumably hear you in the bathroom). I don’t think it is a problem with all the rooms, we just happened to be on a corner. The only other suggestion I would have is to make the signage outside the Vila (by the street) a little bit more obvious – it was hard to tell if you were in the right place.

Incredible service and attention to detail

The staff (Marina and her husband) were absolutely incredible during our stay. They were very informative regarding suggestions on what to do during our time in Hvar and even helped us with some washing. The room was also comfortable, clean and quiet. It was a fantastic stay and we will be returning.

Just be aware that it is a 5-10 minute walk (with stairs) to the town.

Amazing hosts, beautiful vila, and gorgeous views - we didn’t want to leave!

The location and view were so stunning and beautiful! It was so peaceful, relaxing, and close to a lots of beaches and the Old Town. The amenities suited our every need and meant we could relax without having to worry about anything. Our hosts were attentive and made for such an enjoyable experience, as we knew we were well looked after. They really went the extra mile, even offering to drop us off into town after our stay so we didn’t have to walk our bags down.

The charming Vila Luka is a perfect to stay while exploring Hvar.

The squeaky clean apartment was in a great location for walking to town and the Fortress. Our delightful hosts were so helpful giving us rides when we arrived and departed, and sharing many tips of places to eat and activities to do.

Hidden gem, super location, amazing views

Location 10 minutes walk uphill from the centre of Hvar is perfect, on a quiet roadway overlooking Hvar port. The sea view from the rooms facing this direction are beautiful. It feels as if the property has been recently renovated so the rooms etc are super and everything you would expect. The owner Marina was absolutely brilliant and gave us great tips about what to do on Hvar island and was very quick to respond when we messaged. Would 100% recommend & hope to return here some day!

Superb

This was a lovely, comfortable, modern room. Very friendly staff welcomed us and provided a map and information about Hvar. The amenities were good, including a refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle, cutlery and plates, and a hairdryer. The view from the room was excellent.

There wasn't an iron in the room but perhaps may have been one available if we asked. The location is up a steep steps and steep hill so may not be suitable for all travellers if travelling without a car.

The perfect place to live in Hvar

The location was perfect with an amazing view over Hvar city. Short distance from the beaches and city center. The host was so kind, welcoming and helpful! I really recommend this place! 😊 Just have in mind you have to carry the luggage yourself up to the house (10-15min, some stairs)

Really loved Vila Luka. We had a great welcome from Marina where she gave us a map and lots of handy tips. The room was light and roomy, bed was excellent! We had a coffee machine, kettle and wine, beer and chocolates in the fridge!

The best stay on the best island

Everything was fantastic! the location, view from the balcony, decoration, wine in the fridge, fab shower and comfy bed… we couldn’t have asked for more! Marina made our trip with so many fantastic tips. She is the best host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Amazing!

The rooms were nice and clean and the hosts were exceptional! Marina and her family went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible! There was an extremely care and attention to detail - teas and coffee provided in the room as well as local wine and chocolates in the fridge! Marina gave us all the recommendations about the best places to visit in the island and was super quick answering our messages and questions! We usually stay in Hvar once a year and this was our best stay! Will definitely book there again!

Gorgeous Gorgeous Vila Luka

Our second stay at Vila Luka and even better than the first! Marina is so lovely and super responsive. The Vila is light and airy and our room had the most gorgeous sea view. Marina has some beer and wine stocked in the fridge on your arrival, which is such a lovely touch. It’s a very short walk from Hvar square but fair enough to not hear any noise! There’s a gorgeous communal balcony area where you relax and soak it all in. We’ll definitely be back!!

Wonderful

My room had the most amazing view over Hvar Town and also out to sea. The room had a massive bed, was clean and tastefully decorated. They provided body wash / shampoo / hairdryer and drying racks. Great facilities / Nespresso coffee maker in a communal area and also a kitchen to use. Fee wine and beer on arrival and you could top your wine carafe up for free! Marina was a brilliant host and they were very helpful with idea's of what to do and where to go. You could also get a free boat ride out to one of the Pakleni Islands. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

Highly recommended

The house is located close to the city centre of Hvar, it's just a 5 minute walk. The room is very spacious and comfortable and has a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. A special mention for Marina, one of the owners, who was extremely nice, gave us a lot of useful tips to fully enjoy our stay and even left us free home-made wine, beer and chocolate in the fridge. We really enjoyed our stay and can only highly recommend this place!

Beautiful and clean

Loved our stay at Villa Luka, everything was perfect. We loved the attention to detail with the lovely wine and chocolates left for us in the fridge. It was very homely and we enjoyed using the coffee machine and sitting on the balcony looking at the stunning views.

Great location with amazing views, wonderful hosts

The apartment was lovely and clean with a balcony with an amazing view of the harbour of Hvar. although you need to walk up some steep steps to reach the property, the views and peacefulness are 100% worth it! Marina and her husband were lovely - when we arrived Marina was there to greet us and helped us pick some activities we wanted to do during our stay, she also gave us some great recommendations. The fridge in the room was well stocked and we appreciated the wine and chocolates! we also loved the friendly cats. overall our stay was brilliant and would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hvar.

Exceptional stay. Great atmosphere.

Great location (5 minute walk from center without needing that many stairs). Room was really clean and spacious (better than pictures). Hosts are really kind, check in simple and easy. Great atmosphere overall, wifi works well and ac also works really well. Will stay there 110% again when I go back to Hvar.
