The Emerald by Prague Days

Airy, large, beautiful two-room apartment with high ceilings and all I needed for a comfortable stay, even in the middle of the June heatwave (temperatures in the high 90sF and topping 100F). The air conditioning worked nicely (and quietly!) - the apartment was at 18C already so I bumped it up to 20C. It is right in the middle of the Josefov neighborhood, steps away from the old Jewish cemetery and the old synagogues are in neighboring streets (the Spanish Synagogue hosts chamber music concerts at least weekly). It is also just blocks away from the center of Stare Mesto, the astronomical clock, the Baroque library, the Mirror Chapel with its own chamber music concerts), and of course the Charles Bridge - perfect location. The building has an elevator that was added on, so it stops mid-way between floors: couldn’t work otherwise (you have to see it). Anyway, if you have very large, heavy bags it may be a struggle — I’m 65 and had no issues with my average 30ish lbs bag (~15 kg) and my work back-pack. There’s a washing machine as well, but you need to get pods or other soap. The entry is easy but make sure you receive two codes, one to enter the building and the other for the key “cubbies” just inside. The staff were very responsive through email and WhatsApp, and the Czech restaurant ext door has an open network with enough WiFi to make it easy. Plus there’s a Starbucks a half block away if you need to wait for check-in.

No issues whatsoever.

The location was excellent and the property was presented beautifully.

A bigger bed would have been better.

La posizione molto centrale nella città vecchia e la vicinanza di molti servizi (supermercato, metro, ristoranti...). La disponibilità inoltre della struttura a consentire il deposito bagagli nell'apposito locale, prima e dopo il check

Essendo l'appartamento al piano rialzato, ogni volta che qualcuno entrava dalla porta del palazzo, la porta sbatteva con un gran rumore.
