The Grange

Stunning stone property in a lovely setting. Great cooked breakfast and Tamsin & James were great hosts & super helpful.

We were given a room in the stables which we hadn’t booked (which was fine - lots of space). I think we were maybe the first people to stay there since the weather turned a bit nippy so it was very cold there to start with (14 degrees in the room). It took a couple of hours to bring it up to 18 degrees (great Hive thermostat). Bed is probably due a new mattress I’d say.

The house was beautiful. I loved the garden as well.

There was no heating. I was quite cold which made it difficult to sleep. We tried to turn the dial but nothing happened.

It was just a nice place to stay

This was a room in the owners house with no soundproofing or separation from the family living there. The room is over the family's kitchen and dining room. The owners were having a dinner party during our stay and expected us to be out. It felt like we were an inconvenience. We had to request for hot water to be turned on for a bath. The coffee and tea station in the room is very poor. This was not what I expected clarification in the ad for this room being in the living quarters of a family home would have been very helpful. This is a lovely house full of charm suitable for anyone who does not plan on spending much time there.
