Sunny Apartment with Nice View in History City Center

Ideale locatie!!! Ruim en net appartement.

Location and a bit of character in decor. Quite well equipped. Good value

Entry a bit off- putting. Sofa and bed and pillows could be better. A bit of work would uplift the quality. The air con not great

Appartement idéalement situé, très fonctionnel et calme

Je n'ai pas trouvé le local poubelle

The neighborhood was very lively, lots of foot traffic from the numerous cafes and restaurants close by. It's close to the Cours Mirabeau (center) so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Apt was good sized, the bedroom was a bit cramped with the bed very close to the closet wall on one side.

Because the building is older, the spiral staircase up to the apt (3rd floor US) is very tight with small steps. Anyone with large suitcases will have a difficult time manuevering. We also had trouble getting into the apt because we were given the wrong code to the lockbox at the apt door. Fortunately it wasn't late and the owner was available and realized they had given us the wrong code when we sent a picture of the box with the code set. The first night we came back from dinner and neither the wifi nor the TV worked. We contacted the owner who asked us to try unplugging and replugging, which we did, but it didn't help. We tried again the next morning and still no luck. The husband came to try fixing it while we were out, but no luck, apparently it was an issue with the provider. We returned around 3pm and by 5pm it still wasn't working. The shower is very tricky - it's up two large stone steps with no railing or bars to hold. If you are older or unsteady on your feet it could be an issue, especially after a shower when the steps are wet because there is no shower curtain. Also very little space to stand in front of the bathroom sink and mirror, and for two people not much space for your toiletries. The A/C unit wasn't plugged in and there was no outlet nearby. We kept the fan on all night and one window open for cool air, but then we were kept awake by people out on the street laughing and talking, and the drum beat of music coming from another apt until 2am.
