About this apartment rental

Bright two-room apartment 40 m2 completely renovated for 1 to 4 people. Very well equipped independent kitchen.

Our apartment is located in the heart of the city of Aix en Provence.
Very close to the Town Hall, in a pedestrian street.
Every day a small vegetable market within 5 minutes on foot and 3 times a week a large vegetable, clothing and 'flea' market, always within 5 minutes on foot.

There are also many restaurants, casual or gourmet, nearby.
You will also find, a little further down our street, a grocery store if you prefer to cook.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the equipment you may need, appliances (hotplates, fridge, toaster, microwave and dishwasher).

We are classified 2 * Furnished Tourism by the Prefecture of Bouches du Rhône.
You will find us on the website of the Aix en Provence Tourist Office ad 402731

I have fallen in love with Aix-en-Provence; simply a perfect place for me to be! My apartment was charming and the location was minutes from the Hotel de Ville and the glorious markets. Fanny and Jean were the consummate hosts and we spent some lovely time together.

We spent eight delightful days in Fanny’s apartment, centrally located in the heart of Vielle-Ville Aix-en-Provence.The apartment is spacious and the kitchen well equipped with two burner hot plate, small fridge, microwave and kettle. We enjoyed the ability to make simple meals while at the same time enjoying some of the many restaurants in the city.The bed is comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. We especially appreciated Fanny’s excellent communication both before and during our stay- and we’re grateful for the bottle of rose awaiting us in the fridge.One note: the apartment is up several narrow flights of stairs. We are 71 & 75 and could manage, but anyone with mobility issues might have difficulty.We would happily stay here again if in Aix!

Easy walking to everything! Fanny was very hospitable and took time to highlight places of interest to us to go, including restaurants, shops, museums, markets, etc. Located in midst of lots of restaurants and nightlife.

First off, Fanny is an outstanding and responsive proprietor who is easy to communicate with and very helpful. Secondly, the unit is well stocked with utensils in a very functional stovetop kitchen with dishwasher; has a large living/dining area including a small pullout couch; a decent-sized bathroom with strong shower, washing machine, and space for toiletries; and a decent-sized doublebed room with closet and drawer space. Location is minutes on foot from two town center squares and farmer markets. Grocery store just down the street. Great value at such an affordable rate; my wife and I stayed two weeks and cooked-in half the time for dinner. Only caveats: (1) Old Aix is replete with old buildings with winding, steep stairs, heavy entry doors and gates, and no elevator; this is one of them. (2) Old Aix streets are noisy well into the wee hours; closing the thick-paned windows helps. For the price and location, a good value.

Our hosts, Fanny and Jean were warm and very hospitable. They provided us with information about things to do and recommendations on restaurants. The apartment is in the heart of old Aix with a short walk to all the city has to offer. The kitchen is well stocked for meal preparation if that’s what you desire. We highly recommend staying here for a totally enjoyable stay in Aix.

The check-in process was smooth and apartment location were fantastic. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of rose, which we found so welcoming after a long travel day! We were able to walk everywhere within the city and even a bit outside for dinners at various hotel properties around the city. The apartment was nearby to convenience stores, making it easy for us to pick up provisions throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our stay was timed with some warm weather and one of the oscillating fans was not working. It cooled off nicely at night, but the Rugby World Cup was going on in Marseille and the partying in the streets of Aix regrettably prevented us from sleeping with the windows open. Lastly, the apartment seems to adjoin another unit and it did not appear to be locked? For peace of mind, it would have been comforting had a locking mechanism been visible from our side of the door. Am not sure what was beyond that door, but we found it a bit unsettling. Overall it was a nice stay even though it was noisy, and we appreciated the communication with the host throughout our time in Aix.

This was an outstanding condo at a very reasonable price. I enjoyed a seven night stay with my son. The location is perfect close to all the markets and restaurants. There is a grocery store near by as well as countless fruit and vegetable stands in addition to the market. The condo is close to the Gare train station, bus, and tourist information office. The condo was air conditioned which was much appreciated during the heat wave when we stayed. The inside of the condo is lovely, well stocked, dishwasher and washing machine, games, and everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. It is tastefully decorated with local art and nice furniture and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely book this place again when we return. Communication with host was excellent and, she got back to us with questions immediately. Wonderful stay in a beautiful city!

Spending 30 days in Provence was a needed escape for launching into my Chapter Two and using Fanny’s apartment as a home base was the best decision. Quaint, clean, comfortable,centrally located, this property became my refuge, my home. Aix is a walking city and Fanny’s apartment is within walking distance to the city center, shoppes, markets, restaurants, and the regional bus that takes you to the TGV, Marseille airport, or into other towns and cities. I loved my time in Aix and Provence, and in this well equipped apartment, and hope one day to return. Fanny was a wonderful host!

This was amazing! In the centre of old downtown Aix, we enjoyed our easter holiday. The apartment was quite at night, everything needed was there. Thank you, Fanny, for your warm welcome, with coffee, wine and water. But check out, if you are not healthy. There is a narrow stepway up to the second floor - no lift. We were fortunate enough to stay an entire month and Fanny's apartment was the perfect home for us in Aix-en-Provence. The location could not be more ideal. Right in the middle of the old town and a lively neighborhood. Markets for almost all your needs and walkable stores for everything else. Public transportation is accessible. Fanny and her husband are charming and kind hosts. The "liveliness" can sometimes translate into nighttime street noise - otherwise everything was perfect.

We had an enjoyable stay at Fanny's place in Aix. Communication with her was excellent. As we rented a car, and it was our first time driving in France, we had trouble navigating through the very narrow streets. We were fine once we figured it out. We paid for secure parking 5 minutes away as stated. The area is safe at night. It took us a bit of time to find the apartment as we had to get acquainted with our surroundings. A very nice young lady met us and showed us around the apartment. Upon arrival cold water and rose awaited us in the fridge:) (Merci) The apartment is spacious and clean. And had all amenities. There was a heat wave when we were travelling, and so we were grateful that there was air conditioning and 2 fans. Aix is actually alot bigger then I thought, and there was lots to see just in Aix. We were also very close to the Chateaus in and around the area. Lots to see in the area, and I wish we had spent more time here. 3 nights was not enough. There are plenty of restaurants here that service delicious food. Remember that on Sundays in France lots of places are closed including restaurants. I would definately stay at Fanny's again. We were delighted by how lovely the location and the appartment are. We felt like we were living for a few days in a painting of Cezanne himself. Transportable Air conditioning unit made it really pleasant.Anything you could need was intelligently located in the studio and there were wonderful booklets of information on practical information about the city provided by the owner. We were very kindly welcomed upon arrival and quick communication was outstanding. Thank you Fanny and Sonia!, we'll never forget these wonderful few days in Aix.

Apartment is located in the very center of town surrounded by a thousand restaurants and historical sites. Pros: - very cute apartment which had almost everything needed to feel you comfortable and it’s 5 min from every attraction, all the main site of this gorgeous town -host is very nice, very responsive and thought of everything you may need Cons: - very narrow and tall staircase of two flights of stairs leading to the 2nd floor apartment, making it very difficult to bring up heavy luggage (we ended up packing it in the hallway to make it easier); -it was very hot outside and opening windows us only possible during the day, since those many restaurants make a lot of noise until 2-3am. However, two fans make it better, though they are quite loud

A great hide-away

The location, clean and well-organized space, attention to details and friendly, helpful hostess made for a very pleasant stay. There is so much to do in this beautiful town! Our favorite excursions were to Cezanne's Atelier, as well as exploring different areas of Aix via The Steps of Cezanne. The Granet museum was also a nice way to spend the afternoon. These were all within walking distance of the apartment. The parking garage is about a 10 minute walk (the closest is about 20 euros/day) and the steps up to the apartment can be a challenge with lots of luggage. But the trade-off is being right in the heart of Aix-en-Provence with all the conveniences of home.

We loved this apartment! It is a walk up, so be prepared, but Fannie helped us with luggage. The bed is comfortable. There is all you need in the kitchen. There is a boulangerie and daily food market in easy walking distance I was the perfect place for us. Andweapprrciated the bottle of regional Rose in the fridge!😊
